Iskloft or Iskløft is a compound word for Ice (Is) and Cleavage(Kløft) - Likely coming from being cleaved i.e. splitt in two with an axe, so Ice Cleaved would be a more accurate translation of Iskløft

Ive been wanting to get into d&d so im planning on getting the starter set. But are battle matts compatable with the starter set?

Well, if you want to use battle mats I would recommend drawing your own on a dry erase board or battle mat or something. The starter set adventure has a few dungeons where that sort of thing would come in handy.
