I Found a Mud Hole INFESTED with Deadly Snakes!

In today's video, I revisit the mysterious mud holes to catch out, and save more rare aquarium fish! We recently discovered these crazy mud holes made by plecos, and when it floods, fish and other creatures get trapped in there! This time I made 3 mini fish traps to place in the holes, and while we let those sit I stuck my arm inside of the holes to see what I could catch! We ended up catching baby plecos, cichlids, colorful crawfish, oscars, mysterious unknown fish, AND MORE! We then came across MONSTER plecos stuck inside of the holes, including a big royal place, and albino pleco! After catching some pretty nasty stuff, like giant snails and leeches, I decided to place 2 more fish traps inside of the hidden tunnel! We then checked the bottle fish traps and were shocked at all the fish we caught including albino catfish, orange crawfish, cichlids, AND MORE! We took back all the fish we saved, and put them into my backyard ponds... We then went back to the creek to check the other fish traps, and were shocked at what was inside! We found a DEADLY snake called a coral snake lurking in our fish trap... We had no idea what to do or how to get the fish out, so we had to act fast and save these fish, while avoiding a bite from a highly venomous snake... Should we come back and do a part 3?

Those kind of crawfish go for big money. It is a Warsamson River Crayfish. It is native to western Papua New Guinea. It's amazing that you've found one as it was only recently discovered. I've seen them go for as much as $120. It's definitely one you want to take extra special care of. Maybe put it in an indoor tank so it doesn't get eaten by racoons or birds or snakes or something. Would you leave $120 laying around in the yard? Didn't think so. Definitely put that beauty in an indoor aquarium, and if you can find another one of the opposite sex, definitely breed them for fun and PROFIT!!!

That was indeed a venomous eastern coralsnake. Although they are venomous, bites are very rare as they are generally very reluctant to bite. Even when bites do happen, an estimated 25 to 50% of bites are "dry bites", and even when venom is injected your chance of survival is around the 99% mark. If I were you I'd probably invest in a breakdown snake hook that you can keep in your car, so that you can safely move snakes if you need to in the future.
@GladDestronger
@GladDestronger 8 месяцев назад
I read they're related to the cobras... but aren't anywhere near as aggressive. Still not a snake you want to pick a fight with.
@dempseyowens5430
@dempseyowens5430 8 месяцев назад
They tend to be very reluctant to bite due to being rear fanged they really have to chew on you to envenomate so for the most part they will not try to bite.
@GladDestronger
@GladDestronger 8 месяцев назад
Still their venom is pretty potent, so don't mess with them.
@Callmethelamp
@Callmethelamp 8 месяцев назад
@dempseyowens5430 that is not correct and is a common misconception. Coral snakes are not rear-fanged, they have front fixed fangs just as all elapids do.

The Thunderbolt Crayfish (Cherax pulcher) is a newly discovered and extremely rare species of crayfish native to the Hoa Creek of Western Papua New Guinea. With its remarkably eclectic coloration, this crayfish is without a doubt one of the most unique-looking crayfish in the world. This crayfish is also commonly known as the Pink Coral Freshwater Lobster, though true lobsters do not exist in freshwater. Deep blue, hot pink, emerald green, orange, white, and black are all distinctly shown on top specimens of this crayfish. A 7-color spectrum is not found on any other freshwater crayfish! The Thunderbolt Crayfish will breed in the aquarium with proper care, although the fry are extremely slow growing, especially compared to the many more common US crayfish species that are popular in the aquarium hobby. In fact, many of our specimens have bred in our tanks at our facility!

A little tip if you find any snake (venomous or not) hold it by its tail with one of your hands, stretch your arm as much as you can so you wont get bitten. Either yeet it as long as you can but if you wanna expect it you basically come from behing and press down on to its neck (dont be scared to choke it aslong as you do it on the top and not from its stomach) hope that helps a bit, i have been working with snakes for about 8 years now so yeah! The best thing to do is to be calm and dont do any sudden movements!
@vampireeclipses91
@vampireeclipses91 8 месяцев назад
Hey Bobby! Love your videos! Just wanted to let you know that, yes, a coral snake is venomous and could kill you if bitten, it’s more likely to leave you alone. And even if you were bitten, as long as you seek treatment right away, there’s a strong chance you’ll survive. However, all that said, I would still exercise caution when near one or any other venomous snake. And thank you for not killing it and rather just letting it go. Keep doing what you’re doing!

The large crayfish you caught is not a lobster (which are marine crustaceans), nor is it a hybrid of some sort. Like someone commented before it is most probably a Cherax warsamsonicus from West Papua in Indonesia or maybe Cherax pulcher from the same area. It can be difficult to tell them apart because both species have a similar coloration.

19:50 This crawfish looked familiar, so I opened up my old (2005) almanac of aquarium crawfish by Chris Lukhaup and I actually found it. It had just been discovered by a certain Dr. Jerry Allen and was only known as "Cherax sp. from Hoa Creek". Apparently it received a genuine description by Lukhaup in 2015 and is now known as "Cherax pulcher"; the beautiful purple crawfish or Hoa Creek yabby. In the wild they only exist in a single small river at the Bird's Head Peninsula in Western New Guinea. They are quite docile crawfish and can be kept with any fish except for very large or aggressive ones. Preferred temperatures range from 20° to 25° celsius and pH should be 7.0 or slightly above.

Bobby, your mystery pond is very overpopulated. I think you should start spreading them across your ponds. Also, could you please show us your Cichlid pond? How is it going?

Y'all are pro's, y'all continued with the recording after the pleco had jumped and I'm hoping Helen didn't get hurt.

I live in Ohio and we pay $50 for one baby royal plecostomus/pleco!! I wish I could go to my local sewer drain and get them for free!! I would definitely start a business if I were you!!! Start selling those!!! All of them; plecos, clown knife, oscars, etc... It's just absolutely unbelievable what you find and where you find them!!!❤

I'm pretty sure that sneak was either a coral snake, or a *scarlet* snake, scarlet snakes look EXACTLY like coral snakes to fend off predators, it's still really scary though.

Also scarlet snakes are non venomous

Bobby just so you know you can't always go by that color thing with coral snakes. I think you should do some research on it because you are always coming across them. I just don't want to see you get hurt or even worse brother. God bless you and your family my friend.

Bobby, yes, you caught a Banded Leporinus. It looks amazing. It is really cool that you have different types of pleco there. Another really interesting fish rescue adventure. Yes, please for a part 3.
