As I was preparing to ceramic coat my 2024 Honda Goldwing Tour, I foud a small scratch on the trunk lid and had to do some nerve-wracking wet sanding to correct the imperfection.

Man you have that Wing looking fabulous! This why my neighbor who now is the owner of your pristine pearl white 2018 Gold Wing DCT Tour cherishes that bike so much. The level of conscious care you gave it is so obvious. Again excellent details imparted here. Excellent job Cruise! I’ll be doing this in the Fall for sure.

I also used the Armor Shield IX on my '23 Gold Wing after watching your video using it on your '18 model. I didn't know you were an affiliate when I purchased mine in September '23, but it's not expensive for what it is. I also found a scratch on my trunk and attempted paint-correcting it to remove it. I didn't go as far as wet sanding, and mine is still visible like yours is. The Armor Shield is impressive, though!

Happened to me on my last bike. After ceramic I put the eazi grip film kit on my panniers and front fender and front of bike too. So easy to mark them. Best just trying to keep it as clean as possible and ride it without worrying too much about little blemishes. Car guy told me the best ceramic is the gtechniq stuff. They helped create the compounds apparently as one of the pioneers.

Hey Cruiseman. I also put ceramic, but I have found that the paint on my 2024 DCT GW is very soft and scratches almost by just looking at it. I love my Goldwing and I'm new to the GW after coming off my HD for over 3 decades. HD's paint is far superior. I wouldn't go back to my Road Glide, but Honda's paint isn't great.

Great video CM !! I have the same polisher, works great. P S your a brave man with the scratch removal, but it was a great how to for fixing those little accidents that make our bikes look old.

I did my bike the same way, new and scratch-free, as much as possible. Doing it when it's apart is much easier. I used Adam's Graphene. Supposed to last longer than a standard coating, we shall see. So far very happy and man, it is much easier to wash and keep clean. any ceramic coating would be beneficial to keeping anything clean and easy to wash. I did the wheels also, the dirtiest parts are the bottom and back wheel It's very easy to wash the rear wheel with the coating on it.😀 be safe

I use CarPro UK 3.0, Nano Bond and Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray, Ceramic Detailer and Acrylic Ceramic Black. After using these products everything else got given away or thrown out. You cam use the Turtle Wax products on there on and they will up your game big time. Or as topper/maint. products with slightly better ceramic coatings. Prep is the magic bullet few want to do right. Wash, clean, polish, IPA clean then apply. I have two of the older polishers like Chris is using and they work great for motorcycles. No need whatsoever for a high end Rupes or other top shelf polishers. I need to spend a day on the Wing soon and get it spruced back up. I did my Raven Black 2022 Yamaha MT-09. And added a lot of Carbon Fiber standard weave high gloss parts to it a few months ago. Did the backside of the parts with three coats of Turtle Wax Acrylic Ceramic Black. Then the gloss side with three coats of Nano Bond and top coated with the Turtle Wax spray ceramic. I recently did a bunch of maint. to the Wing. So while I had the plastic fantastic taken apart all the underpinnings I could get to and the back of all the panels got cleaned up and the Turtle Wax spray ceramic got applied. Put a bit of work in upfront and every endeavor down the road is easier and better.

Do you have any videos on how to remove old ceramic coating? I put some on my motorcycle five years ago I would like to take it off and reapply that stuff. You just showed everyone.

Thanks for this video. Will do my bike this fall when it cools down. Thought doing the ceramic would be a major project. But you made it look easy. Question about the polishing cream can it be done by hand or is a power polisher needed?

The polishing really depends on the condition of your paint. Typically, it would require machine polishing to get the best results.

You stated that the matte black on your rear truck light is effected by applying ipa. I assume we would have the same effect with the matte green and black 24 wing. Opinion??

The polish products you put on… do they come off with the IPA wipes? Or did you just ceramic coat over that polish ?

Yes, you have to use the IPA after the polishing, and they do come off.

With Apple CarPlay you don’t need Home Link, that’s if you have WiFi garage door opener. Connect garage via Home app include your IPhone. Once connect your phone Home app your garage will show on your display.

I would recommend just using the EC Entry Lights and use the shortcut method. As nice or better than Honda and at a fraction of the cost. Best part no Top Shelter Removal.
