In this week’s video I stumble onto a sunken vessel at the bottom of Dale Hollow Lake. I first though it was a pontoon, but after talking to some of the folks at the dock, I learned that the early houseboats were made with 55-gallon barrels as flotation devices. No one at the dock had ever heard of a houseboat sunken at this specific location. Wish I knew the history of this vessel and why it is sitting at the bottom of Dale Hollow Lake.
Nearby, I also found a modern aluminum ladder for a pontoon. If you lost this and can tell me the exact spot you lost it, then it’s yours. I will return it to you at no charge.
At a separate location, I found my third anchor in as many weeks, along with towels, clothes, and what every diver dreams of finding underwater… a MERMAID!
