Good day to you ( BAMA MIKE ) & this is my kind of WALKS!!!! Oh how I love the buildings, sheds, Barnes, & such. But hey better watch were you step because of snakes!!!!! 😊😊😊
I live in the uk, it’s so teeny we couldn’t lose a town if we tried.. this is amazing! We do however have an old city underground that can be accessed through the beer cellar of a pub called the pack horse.. right under where I was born! :)
@@kennethwalton2380 we’re about the size of one of your states.. maybe two.. you can drive one side to the other in 2.5 hours.. and drive the length in 5 hours or so..
I bet the town had a graveyard. To bad you couldn’t find it. Sad that are so many towns like this. There’s a old abandon town down the Columbia river called Ringgold. In high school you could still find bed frames , lanterns and the like. I haven’t been back since graduation. I like stories like this. Thanks Michael, that was very enjoyable. Stay safe.
The story with most ghost towns built on old train tracks is simply when the train stops running the town slowly dies. The businesses close, then the kid's move away when they grow up along with any families that can afford to move. Then the hold outs get old and die off. It's crazy how quickly it could happen back then... Quick enough for people today to call "mysterious". For someone that knows Alabama better than I do, I'm curious when those tracks stopped being run.
You waited till 10 minutes and 30 seconds in to tell us about it being a mystery that nobody knows where the people went in the town they just came up missing one day? Don't you think that would be something to start with.?
I had just stumbled across the place and I was filming as I went. The exact moment I read that piece of information as I was there I turned the camera on and recorded it.
An Abandoned Town…. Wow! I love to look back at abandoned, ghost towns as I travel by them on the highways and I also imagine what life must had been for those folks and why they became abandoned towns. Thanks Bama Mike. 👍👍
Very cool little documentary to watch up here on a rainy night on the Oregon coast. It's wonderful that you captured Robinson Switch for posterity before Mother Nature finished reclaiming it. Your channel is excellent!
Very cool find ! , I'm a Civil War and Old West history geek and I really like this kind of thing . Keep up the great work and stay safe out there , your channel rocks ! .
Bama Mike I found everyone that lived there They’re all still at the Maxwell Air Force Base prison for growing refer, They said they’d be home in a few more years so take care of the place lol
Awesome. Thanks for checking it out and sharing it with us. Be careful being alone out there exploring. You never know who you might encounter. Be safe. Were you able to find any original pics of the town when it was thriving?
This is just how it is. this will be what become of all of us . Go through the city village throughout out 4 billion years . Its 😂Just nature of things
