Amazing what a bit of fresh water does switching them on! A thought for next season... Yorkshire doubles! They are certainly in the Wharfe, Nidd, Ouse, Derwent, Aire, Tees, Calder, Don, Dearne and even the river Hull! with around 30 holding Barbel there's plenty to go at! Not to mention a double within your home city boundaries!

I'm in the same club - have fished the opposite bank to Bobs loads of times 👍🏻 The biggest problem is people fishing Bobs Island, thinking they own the whole width of the river 😂

Problem we used to have is the kids swimming in the river they didn't give a shit and then constantly asking to see your fish , we used to go fishing the concrete platform in the middle of the Weir had something on in there for about 40 mins never saw it wouldn't come to the top before i lost it

Couple of years back, I've had some decent fish out of the Trent between Weston and Shardlow. This and last season...nothing and that's doing 2-3 trips a week. They've disappeared down our end unless someone knows different....Might have to forego the club waters and venture North!

Used to fish 14mm halibut pellets on the trent at Newark about 20 years ago they loved em then and big cubes of cheese .

Just come back from Trent on a 3 day session . Between the two of us we had one at Gunthorpe , nothing at collingham or A1 pits. However we did have a seal in and out of our swim chasing the salmon at collingham.

Dom came good in the end, I thought he'd forgotten how to fish. Baggin. Adam smashin them Barbell, but at least Dom gets one. 👍. A pearler may I add. Go get some kip lad u look like u need it. Ha ha 😆😆.
