I'm from Scunthorpe and have ordered from Smoke and iron a few times. The food is very good but I've never had portions that big. I think I need to get a Rate my takeaway van.😊
Glad these comments come up..makes you question the places integrity..only end up hurting them in the long run when people from Scunthorpe end up going and getting half portions or "normal" portions should I say.
Been waiting for this to pop up since I saw you outside, good to meet you fella and keep up the good work. Me and my friends have eating from Smoke & Iron for years and I sent a message years ago saying you need to get over - great you've finally gave it a go.
I visited Smoke and Iron from Leeds - we sat inside and it was well worth the trip!!! The portions are huge and the food is AMAZING!! Can’t recommend it enough!
People knock scunny but Danny has proven that not only do they sell decent food and quality food, he has showcased the hard working friendly and professional youtt of today. And old iron town will more to offer than people first think.
We order from here usually once a month, the food is always amazing, never seen the premises though! Whoever you've spoken to about the top food in Scunny has done you a solid, that's two top places you've been to! I'd imagine the name is a nod to our great steelworks, given that it sits in the shadow of our four mighty queens of ironmaking. Iron literally keeps the money flowing in Scunthorpe.
Oh my! Those portions were fit for the family holiday meal! I’m wondering if they gave more as it was the sharing box, or because it was for Rate My Takeaway?
@@fluffy-Muffin yes.. pick any 6 of the bottom part I’ve ordered plenty of times. Portion sizes not that big at all. I do like it there it’s nice food but portion sizes are not that big.

The association between hickory smoked meat dishes and real work is founded in the manufacture of tools, esp hammers, axes and adzes. The chips of wood from making the handles or shafts are used on bbq to get the classic flavour.. Yessiree, I guess, even though I'm a Yorkshireman, that the best hickory grows in The USA, maybe that's why they take smoked ribs so seriously over there.. Nice one Danny. ⭐👍
Smoke and Iron has been around for about 3/4 years,always been really good food!..I've said for a while that Scunny needs a good genuine bbq shack and this is a brilliant place to go!

I initially thought that £37 was a bit steep but watch how much he got for it 13:28 😮😮😮 This is a very good deal. The presentation is clean and simple unlike the mixed meat mess you get in a pizza box at kebab grills. Those girls (and chef?) did a fantastic job.
When you said £37 I thought wow that's expensive, when the meal arrived I though wow that's great value for money. If I had that at a top rated BBQ restaurant I would be 100% happy. Easily a meal for 3 or even 4..
Danny, I know you like your hidden takeaway places. I came across one near me. Its Called The Food Guy. Its in Willenhall, Hawkswell Drive. He makes food from his house. I had a look at his menu, he sells things like dumplings, Hunters Chicken and Home made Lasagne.
Danny try capplemans fish and chips in Pickering, I would definitely recommend this fish and chip shop to anyone, it's takeaway or eat in and I've gotta say the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time, you have to try this place out Danny you will not be disappointed.

Danny, if you like BBQ, come to the southeastern states. Each area has a different flavor. In south Florida, we have a verity but the mango BBQ sauce is our area specialty. A yellow, honey mustad would be another BBQ. If you see a big cooker smoking at a gas station and a guy with a towel tending it, it will be dam good BBQ. Bring the table. We got Cuban and south America food too.
@@TheNormalGuy - Don't worry, if you become a regular here you'll learn that one of the common attacks by the haters is their claim that Danny eats all of the food. Despite his moderator coming onto almost every comment section and patiently explaining that he doesn't: he shares it with the cameraman, takes it home for his family or sometimes gives it to homeless people nearby. Not saying that Karkarot is necessarily hating on Danny, but it's a common enough sentiment here! 😂

I lived in Oaxaca for a period. In the surrounding mountains I was revered .They had mistaken me for for Macuilcozcacuauhtli, God of Gluttony. All due to HP sauce. I sired several children there> I shall return for the empty bottles.
