I love how the guy in the first story did everything right the first time ritual wise and the Eye of Orpheus was conveniently located in the local antique shop. It makes me think there's more than one Eye, if not, I think he should have returned it to the shop for the next adventurer if he's not going to use it again. If it's good for more than the catacombs no one will find out if he throws it in a drawer and forgets about it. The second story is interesting because there're real artifacts with UV glowing stones inlaid as important points in the designs. A whole lot of things in nature glow under blacklight so it could be accidental, but the host stones don't glow. It makes me wonder if they knew all about florescence, but how?
i hope your world isn't really hell, and that your were just having some fun with the alliteration.. I have written some really dark stuff too. But in reality I am content and I have many people that love and care for me. Poetry can be very cathartic. Its very nearly a haiku.
