Those are beautiful... my mom used to have lots of shoes and clothes like you wear.. my mom was a model and was on TV in the 50’s... she wasn’t famous but dated famous men.. she had dinner with Frank Sinatra not for a date but she was dating a friend of his.. She said she met Marilyn once and said her beauty was breathtaking. Mom said they hit it off immediately..Momma said she felt kinda bad for her because as beautiful as she was, she didn’t have much self esteem and it broke my moms heart.. momma died recently and I believe there is a pic of those two together.. I will find it and send it to you if you’d like..
@@katelin9644 yes, they were pretty cool... The best was here my mom was dating all these rich men, and my dad comes along right out of the Korean War, a Marine with not two pennies to rub together and she fell head over heels in love with him... parents were married 60 years and to this day he used to say, “ your mom could’ve had anyone she wanted, and yet she picked me..I don’t get it.”... lol. Gosh I miss her... daddy is 85 and he misses her so much...
Fun fact: Marilyn actually had one pair of clear heels that she absolutely loved, so she took some ribbon and changed it out depending on the picture she had to take her the outfit she wore. The three pictures you showed were actually the same pair of heels, just with different ribbon. ♥️
@@24ntk Angel Sims recreated them, I think she is selling them. Could send her a message and ask her. Here is a video of the shoes: facebook.com/100006633550908/videos/gm.10157672066750426/2991638951067194 And if you are in the Marilyn Remembered Facebook group you can see pictures here: facebook.com/groups/MarilynRemembered/permalink/10157525908785426
PSA: These are not shoes that Marilyn owned or wore. These shoes are just the same style from the same brand that Marilyn wore in a photoshoot. These are not from Marilyn’s collection. I see some people getting confused and I just wanted to explain so less people could be confused ig lol. Nonetheless loved the video as always Jasmine :)
I was confused too, but I assumed nothing on Etsy would be really a Marilyn estate find. Without the original auction tags or provenance it'd be impossible.
The technical name for the clear plastic like this is called lucite. So if someone is looking for a pair it might be easier to find. They have many on amazon and ebay too. They are slippers more for bedroom then outdoors, but rock em however you want.
When I was little, my grandma had “slippers” like those, but white with marabou feathers and a kitten heel, I would always play around in them playing dress up with all the cool clothes in her closet. I wish I could get away with wearing shoes like that now but I live in Vans lol
You should do a video where you prank your husband! Plan a date night and come out in modern clothing. When he questions it act like you decided to give up the vintage lol
I really enjoy these videos ❤️ I want to own some of Marilyn Monroe’s items now too 💀 she was such an amazing soul ✨ I wish she didn’t have to leave so soon
What a perfect person to look like her in every way . Hi I’m a new subbie here . I love your videos. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful blessed week dahling! 💓🤍💓🤍
LOL When Jasmine said "Marilyn Monroe's shoes" she means just like Marilyn Monroe's shoes. The shoes are the same type of shoe that Marilyn Monroe had, not belonging to Marilyn. LOL If the shoes actually were Marilyn's and she had her feet in them they would be in an auction for tens of thousands of dollars. LOL
No lol if it was Marilyn Monroe’s shoes it would cost millions she bought them for 200 I think but if it was Marilyn Monroe’s it would cost MILLIONS of dollars
I’m sure I’ve seen pictures of Marilyn Monroe in sweat pants or something very casual like sweats, you look gorgeous in casual clothes. You look gorgeous in everything you wear.
I remember seeing a pristine 50s mens fedora that was made by some hat company in New York in my local vintage shop,I told my dad to get it..it was gone the next day. Tragic!
maybe you've already done a video like this but if not, it would be really cool to hear about getting into vintage from Maverick's point of view, since it's not as common for guys to get into vintage style, i'd be interested to hear about his experience starting out, if it was really difficult or easier and how his friends and family and the people he encounters react and where he finds most of his items and if it's harder to find men's vintage clothes versus women's. It might be helpful for any guys looking to get into vintage as well but not sure where to start?
I can't believe that I haven't come across your channel before now. When my Grandma passed away she had decades and decades worth of clothes and shoes, in fact she didn't throw anything away for 50 years. There was still receipts from 1953 in her home. Anyway to cut a long story short, we put 100's of boxes of vintage shoes still in original boxes in the skip.. 😳 I'm so sorry!! You could have had them all for free. All we do have left is a custom made vintage Leather coat with Canadian Fox fur trim. It's absolutely stunning, if you are ever in the UK you are very welcome to look xx
Love those shoes but they look so hard to walk in. I have a suggestion, you should dress like Cinderella and wear the other clear shoes you showed us before, the ones with the different laces. OMG! I bet you would look sooo super gorgeous and its going to be Christmas time soon. Magical time of the year.
Hi jasmine! So I bought a vintage facial steamer from the 50s / 60s and I’m wondering if you think or know it’s safe to use? I know some vintage beauty appliances had asbestos, like hair dryers and stuff. But I’m not sure about facial steamers. Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!✨❤️
Just curious, do vintage stores or the Etsy shop provide you with some form of proof that they are infact marilyn monroe's shoes? How do you know, I'm just curious.
LOL The video title is sucking people right in. haha If they were Marilyn's shoes they would be at an Auction House being bid on with a starting point of some amount of thousands of dollars. Seriously...clue up folks. lol
+JasmineChiswell *These are rare heels indeed! Skunk on a Google® Search for "Jewel-Mules by IhLE", so unable to research.* They appear to be crafted from acrylic, later used by Pearl Drum Corporation for the Crystal Beat™ range, Ludwig/Magnavox for the Vistalite™ range, &c.
She has super good clickbaity titles because everytime my brain goes, "WHAT SHE FOUND THAT IN THE HOUSE??!!!" and then I'm like duh of course she didn't 😂 I also just like watching her video too so I click anyway❤️
I dress in vibtage and retro as well. You get far higher quality, better fitting, more flattering and unique clothing. Also much cheaper😘 plus its better for the environment and the slave labour garment industry.
