For my 10th day in Japan, I headed back to Sakuragicho in Yokohama to check out some shops at World Porters that have my designs! Shops like Local Motion, Kahiko, Aloha Street, and Hawaiian Style, all located around the Hawaiian themed section of World Porters, had SO many of my new designs!!
Mauna Kea Galleries also still had my aloha shirts I designed, hanging next to beautiful designs created by famous artists from around the world.
Next we headed to the Greenroom Festival, which is an amazing Music and Art event centered around California and Hawaii's beach and surf culture. I've attended this festival in the past, always hoping that one day I would be an artist there.. and this year, I was one of few chosen to create a T-Shirt design!!
My new Duke Kahanamoku artwork was also displayed in their coveted gallery space during the event. I also got to visit the Greenroom Gallery in a boutique area called Marine & Walk, where my art and shirt was available for purchase.. a goal I've had for YEARS!!
To celebrate, we had a great seafood paella dinner at Miguel y Juani, followed up by the tiniest cheesecake I've ever seen! Tasted great though.
The next day, I strolled around my favorite childhood park called Yumemigasaki, which has a cute small zoo and beautiful seasonal flowers. Lunch was at Wako, an incredible tonkatsu restaurant with my favorite dish, Tonkatsu Nabe.
I headed to Shibuya afterwards to meet up with my tour guide friend, and we found a quiet spot to catch up and an interesting place to have some coffee and tea.
I hope you enjoy today's tour of Sakuragicho, seeing the Greenroom Festival, and a bit of Shibuya's busy nightlife. I'm so happy to be able to share my artwork with you! Tomorrow I'll be going to Chinatown for some store visits, then Odaiba to have a work meeting and seeing more of my art the following day.
