Thank you everyone for the love, appreciate it ❤ A lot of you have been asking about my Color Grading, and the truth is that I base most of my grade off of the 'CinePrint16' Film Emulation power grade by Tom Bolles. I have learned how to tweak it to best suit the look I like and I also added in some things of my own. I'll break it down in the future! for film burns, film mattes etc. I use my self created assets scanned from real 16mm film - bit.ly/3PoLkKg

you just gave some major gems. I own a pocket 4k and always relied on the color grading for achieving the look. Never have I thought of grabbing a vintage zoom lens. THANK YOU. My main client loves the vintage look and summer is right around the corner :)

I've tried to recreate the 16mm film look and it looked nothing like this. Beautiful achi. In two weeks I'll be shooting a short film with only night scenes, with the BMPCC 6k pro and without any lights cause of the budget. I would love to see a video about shooting in low-light conditions

How do you accomplish the 16mm film look but still have that clarity? Your images look amazing
@YuvalAloni
@YuvalAloni Месяц назад
Thank you 🙏🏻 I’m not sure exactly what you mean by “clarity”, but I think it’s probably down to the overall contrast and just the lighting in general
@huakeeeem
@huakeeeem Месяц назад
“Clarity” wasn’t the best word, lol. But by clarity i meant sharpness. I’m using super takumar lenses btw.
@YuvalAloni
@YuvalAloni Месяц назад
@@huakeeeem so yea, I think the illusion of sharpness is a lot due to contrast, and then probably the texture as well - grain + some sharpening

Nice....use an ENG-Zoom with 2x extender..............WAY more Range - similar look ..........With Powerzoomfeatures and Backfocus-adjustment for 100% parfocality. Also with 2x Extender those lenses even cover S35 ......you can even get nice blurry Backgrounds if used correctly so it's basically s16+s35 look all in one Lens.
@YuvalAloni
@YuvalAloni 3 месяца назад
interesting! Can you make back focus adjustments on the extender itself?
@vanraz
@vanraz 3 месяца назад
Hey, are you referring to something like the optex colcine 2x extender? That would make, say an angenieux 12-120, cover s35?
@del-fu3265
@del-fu3265 3 месяца назад
@@YuvalAloniOn the Lens itself... not the Extender. Just look for "Canon J" or "Fujinon A" those lenses from ENG/News-Shouldercams...........i own a 5.7-47mm and 9-144mm both with 2x Extenders, both under 100€ .....its (very rough estimation) a 24-200mm and a 35-700mm in Fullframeterms...........the 2x Converter makes you loose 2 Stops of course but it also makes the image way sharper (very substancial amount) ..........those lenses go to f/1.7 so do your own calculations .............i use them on the following System (ZCam E2 (mft) in 2.8k s16 Mode which has roughly a 3x Crop + Viltrox MfT-EF-Speedbooster + B4 Adapter + Fujinon A Lens ...........the Speedbooster gives you back one Stop of light .......covers the full range whit some slight vignetting on the wide end if you shoot 16x9 which i rarely do when i shoot whitch those vintageZoooms .....in 4:3 your vignettefree )
