HP is the company that builds printer-scanner-copiers which refuse to scan if they don't have ink. They sell ink on a subscription model so if you don't use ink one month HP will still charge you on the assumption you've used it. HP is a very bad company.
I will never buy anything from HP again, after they forced me to register for printing on a new Printer. Afterwards I could not even install a driver and had to send it back…
Same. You can only screw me on warranty once, but unfortunately I bought two HP laptops at the same time and both had issues. I’ve purchased several laptops from other brands since then - because I wanted to, not because I had to. I can hold a grudge for a very long time!
Their printers are a disaster which turns off people who've been burnt by them before. Which is dad cause their other hardware can be rather damaging specs
I have my other reasons, but I won’t purchase hp again . Hp definitely has a reason to gradually lag behind the new comers, despite being the one of oldest brand , and a giant
Hope this year there are 2 in 1 laptops with Snapdragon X Elite series or latest highend chipsets from AMD or Intel + Nvidia RTX 40 series gpu, Windows 12 Pro, 16-inch OLED/Mini-LED, 3.5 K / 4K 120Hz display, 99.9 Wh battery, 4K webcam, Thinkbook-class keyboard and touchpad, MacBook-class microphone and speakers and Stylus Pen with 8192 pressure level and latency below 5ms
yeah and and a laptop with those specs would be way over 3000$ besides new laptops would come out with 50 series gpus which would be more expensive since nvidia loves jacking up the prices to the max.
Hi Ben, great work as always. What was your experience with fan noise? Also, this is right in the price point of the MSI Prestige, which seems to have better specs all around than the Spectre. What do you think is a better buy?
Rn this is my number 1 choice during my search. But my question is - while using the pen in tablet mode or whenever, am I able to rest my hand on the screen without it going crazy??
I had a Spectre when it first came out and really liked it. However be warned that because HP do not class it as a business laptop I found that it could not be supplied with Windows Pro, and also there were some things that were not supported. I can't remember what exactly it was that I found out this limitation, I think it might have been the dock. It seems a bonkers policy as the Spectre X360 was in some respects better than the Elitebook their official business laptop.
Is the Core Ulta 5 enough for light video editing (1080p)? Considering ordering a 14in specter on HPs website and they give they choice between Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 cores
I bought the laptop, its going back to amazon. The display isn't really that special, white doesn't look white, screen door is responsible for this. arc graphics are not yet sophisticated enough, there are a lot of stutters in games. This laptop with a better touchscreen display which Asus uses and AMD Ryzen CPU would be perfect. So it's too expensive for the laptop.
Hi Ben, thank you very much for doing the hinge test. I had to return so many laptops in my life due to screen wobble, which drives me absolutely insane. Going to watch the rest of the video now! :)
I saw the 14 inch model today at an Hp store. It has it. And once you notice it then you can never unsee it(only on white backgrounds). Even the hp staff agreed with me😅
@@navaneethks9426 I heard latest samsung book pro 2-in-1 laptops doesn't have it. Laptops without touch display as well. No personal experience though.
Hi, Ben . That’s for making these wonderful reviews. I bought myself spectre seeing your reviews. But after used it for few months, the best would be to buy a MacBook with play station . Hp sucks, and I am more than confident to say this, after paying huge amount. But you are being too generous , by praising Hp .
No, I agree. Having used the Book3Pro360/5G/16-inch I can say it is a well made laptop that Samsung keeps improving with firmware updates and it. Has no dGPU but you buy a 360 for the flexibility of using it with a pen, and Samsung s-pen kills rivals in features and usability.
Note: you can upgrade the ssd you just have to peel the black plastic off. Im currently typing from the spectre x360 16inch 2024 with 32gb ram and the 4050 and im loving this laptop.
How is your experience? I’m on the verge of buying but people kinda scared me, telling me how bad hp’s build quality is. Is their point of view justified?
