Live your Life like you are One of the Pinoys..Immerse in this Culture..learn its nuances..Speak some Filipino Words..or Sentences..and You will Surely be Liked by the Locals..and they will Give you the Warmest Hugs, there is.
Completely agree. Had the same surreal experience in 2013 in a taxi ride from Malate to Makati. Turned a corner and - poof - completely different world.
Going there my first time in jan 25......cant wait.....been to thailand 3x in the past year BUT i cant wait to visit phillipines and talk to people in english.....cantttttttttttttttttttttttttt wait
Taguig City is really the future of Metro Manila with its policies of the cleanliness and with BGC and next to this is the Arca South which will really shine more in the future.
Of course, BGC where there are a lot of foreigners living there, with cozy condos, urban lifestyle suited for them, barhopping, business district quite near to Manila airport. Once been there in BGC for work in 2 companies before.
What about the air quality in manila? I have a couple of friends there and they are sick often from breathing the toxic are? What do you know about this? Please explain is it true or not?
In other countries, typical cities are so small in size. So probably the were used to their own reference of a city. Nothing bad if they call BGC a city, we all know what he meant in the first place.
SM City is not a city, it's a Mall. Vatican City is also not a city 🏙️🌆, it's a country. City has many meanings. It's not only for the big place with many buildings. Radio City also not a city, it's a station or channel
My Goodness BGC is a business district in Taguig City. And East West city? I know EastWest Bank hahaha. What you meant is Eastwood City and it is an area or a place in Quezon City. Anyway, both are in Metro Manila 😅
Why Taguig and Makati cities, who has a lot of billion pesos wealth modernize those villages or barangays adjacent to BGC. I don't understand those politicians in Taguig ang Makati?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's not that easy to develop an area esp when it is already occupied. You can't simply tell people to leave the area esp when they have legal title over the land and lot. BGC was practically a grassland /forest prior to development so it had a "clean slate" when they started.
Its not the Government who done to develop its a private companies whose sale the condo unit to Balikbayan like me wants to invest in Taguig not the the Politicians their not happy about it for start
The longer I live in the Philippines, I’m starting to think the wealthy people do not care about the rest of the country and the people in it. Everybody just wants to be protected behind the gate.😂😂. Prove me wrong.
disagree. i dont know how many years youve been here but you'd be surprised when we experience great disasters and tragedy, we can count on each other on donation drives and charity work. Bad times bring out the best in Filipinos.
Or you could welcome tourist money. Foreigners moving there cant buy land- they have to do a condo if they buy. Yet ive never seen a city anywhere in the eorld without Filipinos living there.
I have been to Singapore, Malaysia, Denmark and Norway. BGC definitely has an edge over those countries. Norway maybe will be the best but BGC will definitely not be at the bottom of that list. BGC's main drawback would be air quality -- but mostly due to its surrounding areas not as "green" as BGC itself. Also, not all of its areas are green. Thus many areas can get really hot because it is a "cement/glass desert".
Im a Filipino, but ive been to large cities in Asia including Singapore. Id say its comparable, if not better. And like Manila, SG has the outskirts too, where you can find less expensive food and goods. And I can proudly say, yes, the PH is slowly catching up, not to mention, there are 16 other business districts in the Mla other than BGC. Plus provinces are developing too! Good times!
BGC is only a very small area just like Ayala business district in Makati and Ortigas...the rest of Metro Manila is chaotic and the gap between the rich and poor is getting wider...the heck , middle class don't even exist.
The majority of those walking in bgc are middle class. The upper classes do have condos in bgc but have primary residences in the exclusive villages around the metro. Which are very quiet, serene, clean but very expensive.
@@Mega-zi7ys can you define your understanding about middle class?. If you were pertaining to a working class ..just an incident of losing a job your bread and butter will definitely downgrades you into poverty....that upper classes you are referring are the rich folks already...
@@Mega-zi7ys A true middle class would have properties (paid and fully owned) and have other means of stable income (not part time job or sideline business) apart from work. Just like if you lose your job in a month it will NOT lead you into poverty. A perfect example of this are the Qatari middle class citizens. Philippines , in contrary has now diminishing middle class due to stagnant calibration of salary adjustments that would match with the sudden surge of inflation. Imagine 18k salary is considered a middle class income a couple of years ago.
@@viccapalihan364 you truly have no clue at all about Philippine society. Likewise going by your definition Singapore, Japan, Canada , etc also don't have a middle class. Pls study economics before spewing nonsense. You don't even comprehend what a welfare state is vs a real free economy. Anyway don't bother since it's got nothing to do with you anyway. Keep believing what you think will keep you happy. Regards
@@motivationontop6587 we have a formal definition of what a "city" is based on the Local Government Code. BGC is not a real "city". Previously, Makati claimed it, but Taguig challenged that and won the case. But now that is being challenged by Pateros (last I heard).
BGC is not a city. It’s more appropriate to call it maybe a community. BGC is just a part of Taguig City. I don’t know why did they allow that name in there. If I am a city official I will go to court and ask for renaming it.
