I’m sure that by now you will have done all the saves you wanted to do before FC24 came out, and you’re probably getting pretty bored trying to find new ideas. Thats why today i’ll be sharing 9 of my favourite ideas from FC24, so you can enjoy the game at least one more time.
0.5 Stars - NorthEast United
We begin in India, with NorthEast United. Every player in their team is a whopping 7 points below average compared with the rest of the Indian league. You go into season one with your star player being a 35 year old Frenchman, who will instantly retire, your best prospect has 65 potential, which is still below the average overall rating in the league & you also have the smallest budget.
1 Star - Anyone
This might seem like a bit of a copout, but seriously, at 1 star it’s all about just picking a team in a league you like. I’ve not found a 1 star team thats actually unique, because most of them are in leagues full of other 1 star teams. Have a scroll through China, League Two, Scandinavia and every other small European nation, and you’ll find a team that matches what you want at one star.
1.5 Star - Burton Albion
If you’re English, you might know what St Georges Park is, if you’re not, then its the headquarters for the England national team. Every international break, the team meet up and train just outside of Burton, in Derbyshire. It’s a cutting edge world class facility, and it’s also where Burton Albion train, despite being in League One.
2 Stars - FC Vollendam
In a league where most players are in the 70’s and the best ones are in the 80’s, you begin with a squad that averages just 64. Lequincio Zeefuik will be your biggest hope, his 6’4 frame towering above every other player, and his high 70’s potential also massively overshadows the rest of the team.
2 Stars - RWD Mollenbek
Because I didnt give you one star team, here’s a second 2 star team. Belgian club RWDM might have the weirdest name on FC24, but now that the’yre owned by the same American who has stakes in English side Crystal Palace, Brazilian side Botafogo and French side Lyon, they do have potential to become a powerhouse in Belgium. They were promoted last year, and with Kylian Hazard as their best player, you can create a Belgian dynasty pretty easily.
2.5 Stars - Elversberg
We’re starting to get into the decent teams now, with Elversberg being my pick at 2.5 stars. 2 years ago, Elversberg were 4th division champions, last year they were 3rd division champions, this year they’re midtable in the 2nd division. With a bit more building, theres no reason why the tiny team from Saarland can’t challenge Schalke, Hertha Berlin and Hamburg for promotion.
3 Stars - LA Galaxy
LA Galaxy is one of the most successful and recognizable teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). Despite their past success, they have struggled in recent years and need to rebuild their squad. The team has a strong tradition of signing big name North American talents, such as Landon Donovan and Gyasi Zardes, so it's important to invest and continue this trend.
3.5 Stars - Saint-Etienne - France
The youth academy at AS Saint-Étienne has produced several notable players over the years, Laurent Blanc, Didier Deschamps, and Michel Platini are all former players who came through the academy at Saint-Étienne. More recently, William Saliba, Wesley Fofana, Kurt Zouma, Bafétimbi Gomis & Blaise Matuidi all wore the famous green kit at youth level. Despite this incredible record, Saint-Étienne are currently in the bottom half of Ligue 2.
4 Stars - Nottingham Forest - England
One team that is in their nation’s first division is Nottingham Forest. As a fan, it still feels weird to say that, but Forest are back, and at risk of going down. The club has spent £200m on mostly successful players, but in the process has sold or lost almost every home grown player
4.5 Stars - Chelsea - England
Somehow, even after spending £1bn Chelsea are 4.5 stars on FIFA. I’m sure I don't have to go too in depth about the challenge you’ll be facing here, you’ll need to try to out run Arsenal, City and Liverpool to the title, while also developing an insanely talented squad of players. Additions here and there are needed, most obviously at CB, but outside of spending £140m on Militao its hard to improve the starting squad.
5 Stars - Barcelona - Spain
Finally, as the best team in this video I struggle to see how a team could be any more fun than trying to totally rebuild Barcelona. As Barcelona are struggling with finances, you could easily throw in a storyline to give this save idea a bit more realism.
