It all comes down to time and skill. I truly believe that whatever you can in AE you can do in Davinci Resolve, but it takes years to build the skill to execute on the idea
Reasons why DaVinci could compare and be used as an alternative than AE: 1- DaVinci is free 2- you can make those cool animation/comps 3- 3d is np but actually really good in fusion 4- for color's and quality DaVinci is known as the best and could control the theme 5- all on knowledge and skill, to be good/ as good as ae 6- since its free but also has a smaller community 7- WAS USED FOR REALLY GREAT MOVIES/ and it better for mostly video editing than entertainment edits. 8- W channel 🗿
Yes you can make 3d fx in resolve like from 06:00 but it probs would be quite difficult cause of 3d shapes and stuff but i do think as an experienced resolve editor that it is possible
I mainly use Davinci but last year I started learning After Effects and I will say it’s much easier to be more precise and add effects in AE. In AE I could do some pretty sick effects that took half the time that it took me to make them In Davinci. I really like Davinci I can do my basic edit pretty quick but when it comes to effects it takes a lot longer because most of it you have to build from scratch. AE has a ton of overlays and plugins that make editing effects a lot easier in my opinion.
The thing is shill is going crazy over transitions that has been done in after effects a paid software which is way to overedited where as in da vinci its mostly used as a free software with actual good impacts on the clips and good sync
Look up CryphtixVFX. In my opinion he is one of the best and most creative Da Vinci Resolve editors out there. My favorite montage that he's made is his Neo montage

can you do clean editors on davinci next time, I am a clean editor and there are good clean editors on davinci. ( I only post on tiktok) :) keep up the daily grind
I believe that because you edit movie like montages you don't appreciate how nice things simpler like da vinci edits can be like those after effect edits are just to much and isn't needed for just a fortnite montage plus after affects has been around longer than da vinci
I feel like the davinci edits with the least amount if vews is better than the ones that blows up. Just check out my money twerk edit that was edited on davinci with no plugins at all.
if u wanna see more crazy crap from davinki editors check for anime edits aswell, since not many peeps who do crazy stuff on davinki edit: there are guys who recreate after effects edits
no you can do it inside the Fusion tab. Fusion is an industry grade 3D and VFX compositor. The only thing you would need to do in Blender is the models but the compositing can all be done inside Fusion.
