Unfortunate ending! Glad it wasn't something worse! We actually had our ST throw its first issue at us this last week. The touch screen no longer works (display works, but won't respond to touch). Not the worst thing to happen, considering we're now at 85k miles. Hope you get yours fixed soon!

I loved this canyon! Taking the 60 out past Globe, didn't even know the road was out there, I was just taking a road trip to Pine Top and happened to be in my ST. Pretty much stayed in 3rd gear the whole time, got stuck behind a semi at one point though.
The oil being slung around after the charge pipe blew is normal. Good fix for that would be a catch can. It would stop some of that blow-by. Also, the factory charge pipes are known for blowing loose. Use some hairspray when you install it, and it becomes glue like, but still easy enough to get off. Great intro btw! You should do more of that

You still think the shift bushings are a good upgrade? I like the feel of my shifting (it's comfortable, lol) but I've been thinking about doing the bracket before I do the shift cable bushings. Figure I can reverse the bracket if I don't like it but the cables are done once you commit to installing. Just don't want it to wind up feeling clunky.
that’s an intercooler pipe, either the hot side or cold side popped off from ya, if u haven’t already i suggest upgrading to t bolt clamps for intercooler piping
Awesome drone shots of the road man! love it. Sucks about the charge pipe. Hope that's all it is. I'm in the same boat with my oil. Need to get it changed and I've been putting it off. I use a local quick lube as I don"t have ramps but I can legit sit 6 feet away and watch them.They do a good job to.
To keep more oil in the engine look into a baffle plate from Mountains or Radium. You could also do one or both catch cans. I might be the one viewer left with a ST... '17 Kona Blue!
@@Gjeebs actually i think been there b4. Took that way to Pinetop-Lakeside but i was at night so probably didn't even realize where I was but it was just after i got my Indys and i was hauling ass lol
Boy, do we all know THIS FEELING! You sure as hell are in limp mode home. I have been there twice. Car will run up to about 60 mph just like you said and it will take about 30 seconds to eeeeek there. Not fun. My fuel rails/pump went tits up. Engine does protect itself I will say that.
I recently got into an accident with my ST😭, functions fine just need passenger doors; was going to get the proCal 3 tune but now I got to deal with this
Wesley Haws might be a bit late but it’s for interior lighting. Some focuses have it (my 16 SE with some upgraded packages has it). It’s a dimmer switch and next to it you can change the color between I think 7 different colors
@@Gjeebs haha I've been meaning to go out there for like 2 years I found it on google maps looking for good roads. I only trust one of my sh*tboxes that far from home and its got 260k on it. I'll get probably get a clean 3rd gen MR2 or a FRS then go out there. Wouldn't want to have something break out in the desert on a hot day. Also neat to get to actually see the place.
