I enjoy many fragrances from this house. I still need to get Red Tobacco. I actually prefer Instant Crush to BR 540. They definitely share some similarities but Instant Crush is different enough to own both.
I go by “occasion” more than “season.” For example, I won’t wear Red Tobacco at the Beach. lol But I will wear it to dinner in a nice restaurant no matter the season. That’s kind of my only rule. Great list, Sebastian. I have at least half of this list and love a lot of Mancera/Montale fragrances.
*How did Saharian Wind not make the list? Assuming you haven’t tried it? It’s arguably the best fall/autumn fragrance for men in their entire arsenal. Sensational stuff!*
I've tried a LOT of Mancera fragrances, most of the heavy hitters. My favourites are OG Cedrat Boise and Tonka Cola (I get a better performance now than what I got at the start). I don't really care for Vetiver Sensuel (although I like vetiver generally) and Red Tobbacco is too harsh for me. Amore Caffe is really good, though. I might buy a bottle some day. They are not sth groundbreaking but they i have some that i like.I want to try Amore Caffe though because it is so hyped even though i don't like many gourmands.
A few of fragrances are for colder weather in my small collection. Bentley Intense, Encre Noir Extreme, French Lover and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille are not ‘summer’ wears for me.
My favorite is Roses Vanille, which I wear all year round (I live in SoCal so I don't worry about seasons). I like Amore Cafe, but I'm not a coffee drinker and don't like to walk around smelling like coffee, so I layer it with a vanilla scent. I tried Tonka Cola, but didn't like it. Red Tobacco was in the last mystery box, but I haven't tried it yet
I own 25 manceras I like their fruity citrus offerings more as for cold weather I like red tobacco but I can’t stand the oud in it however Aoud Vanille is tremendous and amber fever is very underrated
Well Fig Extasy sounds wonderful -- putting it on the list; Amore Caffe, too but I just ordered the Red Tobacco Intense and got it at a low low price at Maxaroma. And there are a couple of others on my list first. So hard to choose, an embarrassment of riches! Thank you so much, Sebastian.
@@ThePerfumeGuy I am going to see if Maxaroma has it right now and maybe get a smaller size so I have money left over for Van Py Rhum, which I have in my cart! (Ugh, out of stock at Max. Will get the 60 ml at Lily instead).
It is. I have both samples and the intense version is so much more wearable and actually pleasant to smell. Just like intense CB is more wearable than regular cedrat Boise.
Mancera value for money wise are the best niche house, 120ml bottles can be had at discounter for under £100 regularly. I'm currently wearing Tonka cola and Amore Caffe in the wet damp UK weather
Great list, I have half of them in the collection. Can recommend few more that work nice in the Autumn: Sand Aoud, Saharian Wind and (specially for rainy days, at least for me:) Aoud Violet.
Aoud Exclusiff was on my list to buy this fall/winter but since then I’ve decided to splurge and buy either Nishane “Mana” or Frederic Malle “The Moon” so another Oud would be redundant. Aoud Exclusiff is still very good for someone who doesn’t want to go all in on these “real” and/or artisanal ouds
Recent addition is Aoud Lemon Mint so unique to me & I’ve tried A LOT of frags by now❤I also own the usual suspects: Roses Vanille, Instant Crush, Cedrat Boise, Amore Caffe, etc
I really enjoy the house of mancera! I think Choco Violette is great for the cooler months as well as velvet vanilla. I really enjoyed your picks! I'm adding fig to my list to get.
All I know is that I have to take your reviews with a grain of salt. Because our noses are not close to being similar. With that out of the way...I'm of the mindset of wearing what I want regardless of season. But Deep Forest, Saharian Wind, Precious Oud, Aoud Lemon Mint, Vetiver Sensuel, Tonka Cola, and Cosmic Pepper are just some of my heavy wears.
