I think turning scambaiting into an industry beyond what it is already would be counterproductive. My parents are from India and I have no problem saying it is an extraordinarily superstitious country as a whole, it's a third world country where most people are starved of both food, education and healthy living spaces. I knew a lady who fell victim to a romance scam. Her fake boyfriend said he was a multimillionaire but all his money was stuck in his bank account until he could scrape together the $15,000 in bank fees that had piled up while he was in jail/kidnapped/in a coma etc. She believed that, even though everyone has experienced banks just taking fees out of their account if enough money’s in there.
