Dan, I want to thank you for sharing your toy hunts with us all. I'm a 50 year old black man and reliving my childhood through you. The old toys, the feels...takes me back to my childhood; much better times. I have some Joe and Bootleg Joe's that I want to send you at some point (they're in storage right now). I've been binge-watching your videos for days now and they all take me back to my childhood. Thank you for all that you do!
I only make it up to Sheboygan once a year now, for the family reunion, but every time we go one of the main objectives is to stop by Freaktoyz! Just an amazing shop, and the staff have always treated us like family! I'd rather make the six hour trip up than order anything online just for the level of service and care they bring to their store! Thanks for showing us the basement! I've always seen it but have never been down there. We leave for this years trip tomorrow, and I'm so excited to see them again!
The only time i have ever heard of sheboygan was from Home Alone when John Candy is explaining to Kevin's mom that his band was very successful, in sheboygan 😂
Great video. Really dig all the random vintage figures that popped up in this one. That Psycho and Chopper are sick!! Really on brand for you with all the neon. 😂 Thanks Dan.
Great video as usual. I see you are coming to my neck of the woods on July 14th. Is this just a signing meet and greet or will you also film a toy hunt video while at the store?
I bought the original Peter Venkman from the Real Ghostbusters line in 1987 when I was 10, but the green proton stream coming out of the blaster irritated me so I cut it off with a pair of fingernail clippers. lol
Great store. I had a bit of a spending spree there on my birthday a couple of years ago. I remember their old store and when they were doing flea markets before that.
This was another great video! The store is amazing but wow talk about sensory overload!!! :D The R.A.T.S. video you had in it is also a very weird thing in that the "alien forces" shown they are taking down are assorted white painted kit bashed Starriors glued together with some old motu figure parts (specifically the arms, waist and legs), parts and whole figures from another semi related toy line Tri-Bots, all of them painted white. :D
I'm From Sheboygan! I remember their store before they moved! its what got me hooked back into toy collecting. I made custom TMNT figures them too at one point. Aaaaaand your kid found one of the customs I made. THE A TEAM CUSTOMS!!!!!! WOW!! I MADE THOSE!!!! I traded tmnt parts for that art!!!!
I sold that boxed Red Lion to them. Had the boxed Blue Lion, too. You wouldn't even believe what I paid for them at a flea market. Score of a lifetime.
There are many Star Wars lego sets I have wanted. Mos Eisley being a major one. The old sets of the Death Stars and Jabba's Palace being a couple of others. Such a funny clip of you in the ring. SO classic to knock some out and then get knocked out of the ring in those rumbles ha ha. I love the selling of the shock and surprise. I hate that Legos are smaller scale and cost more. The Food Fighers were fun. Barnyard Commandos were cool. Of the few TMNT vehicles I had, I had both inner tube toys and the tugboat looking thing. I had the wall with ooze launcher thing and the van of course. My best was, but not in my collection, the lair playset. I had always wanted the Technodrome though. I do have the Blimp and Van from the classics re-release. Of course, your son would automatically fine the MOTU ha ha. Warduke's shield was in the bag of shields. I had 2 Visionary figures but don't recall their names. That is awesome he had a helmet for you.
Whenever I go to the big city in my state, there's a nice toy store. But it's way on the other side of town, i.e. an extra hour each way with traffic, so never stopped by.
I'm fairly local to Freaktoyz. I actually have some old fixtures of theirs in my collection. Definitely wild to see how far they've grown and seeing them get this type of publicity.
Hey Dan! Do you still have your 2012 TMNT figures? That's my favorite era and I loved watching your reviews of that line, always love seeing them in the background of these toy hunts
I prefer the Cheapskate II. Can you measure the height of your Technodrome with the eyeball on top? The remake version on Amazon say it's 13.5" tall, and people are trying to figure out if the remake version is smaller than the original. I don't have a loose one to check. I have a new in open box one along with the sewer playset, but it's not put together as it's still new.
I picked up a couple of Ben 10 figs I wasn't sure what they were but they are pretty cool I ve never seen Ben 10 tho lol They were really cheap uncarded.
I have that cup and for the life of me, I can't remember where or when I got it. I guess I always assumed it was some sort a Burger King promotion but it wasn't a part of the kid's meal so I really don't remember.
Wow. Amazing toy store. I'd be so annoyed for leaving something I meant to buy! I do that all the time. Man, I even forget stuff I do buy!! Any chance you can contact the store and pay for it and they mail it out to you?
15:00 - That's a mini figure of Wildmutt, that came packaged with the Ultimate Wildmutt action figure, for use with the Ultimatrix roleplay toy. EDIT: As you found out later.
Hey! Hey Danny! 'member when you bought a couple of Fuerza T figures? And...and you were like, meh, they are kind of expensive. And I was all like, how expensive? And you were like, 30 bucks a piece. And then you never bought them? ;) (Clarification, for anyone reading this, this was almost 23 years ago when you could buy them for cheap adjacent. As well as New Adventures figures on card for like 5 bucks a piece. And we didn't buy all of them, because we were dumb kids in our 20's thinking NO ONE is EVER going to want those figures. Young Dan and Young Devall were dumb. DUMB I say!)
