That's a privatized prison system. But here in Europe, it's not much better. There are organizations that are state funded. These will help, but many fall through the cracks.

So many go back to prison.I don't know the answer and I don't think many people do.

Unfortunately, some might even prefer to go back to jail for a roof over their head.

@toddstarks226 that is true, in eastern Austria there are people from neighboring nations in jail, just to get some medical attention, they otherwise wouldn't get.

@@atsi3298 they also don’t have any money, a place to stay, family that are willing to give them another chance and employers that will give an ex convict a job. Hunger is real and it will lead them to crime, etc in order to survive. More needs to be done to help with their integration into society.

Totally agree, That was super cool; The 1st guy really touched me, and when Josh told him that the past doesn't define a person, man...That was really touching to me. Tossed out of prison with basically nothing, and probably trying figure out where/how to eat etc...Then Josh comes along, and does all this. It gives me great hope that there still are great people out there. Man, I'll bet that McDonalds must have tasted super good to this wonderful man looking to improve his life. Damn...I've given hundreds to people here or there, but never got a hug for it! Regardless, awesome work you do Josh; Lovin' it!!! :)

Yes I'm worried people will think of her badly which is not going with a strange man to a hotel with her children, it's just safety. So many out there act like they're going to help you but it'll come at a cost so I hope people can be more empathetic and educated about homelessness

Actually she was a cheating h00drat when I met her. I felt for her boys 1 and 5. I raised them until 18 and 14. She left because I wouldn't allow her to sneak a 17 year old girl in my home at 2 in the morning after my brother died of covid vaccine. She stole my 4 children and dipped off to another state 3 states away and lied to a judge saying she didn't know her their dad was. I was so infuriated I ended up in prison when i found him. Don't EVER judge a book by your own projections. You have your own demons. They are not mine.

For real tho...I just ran to the bathroom at work and had a good ugly cry. 💯 I needed to see this today!

The season will be changing. Start collecting socks, sleeping bags, tents, backpacks, blankets, sweaters, long pants, tennis shoes, and toiletries . When I do mission work, I buy new and used items. Used items are cleaned first at laundromat for freshness and care. New items are tents, sleeping bags, big pillows, socks, and some clothing items. To help, I buy used and in good condition blankets, small pillows and tennis shoes from Thrift store. Here again, everything is cleaned first and in great condition! I love hearing the people say, " Oh, this smells good!" Lol I give because it pleases God first, and I love it! Start small, but just do something it makes a great difference!

Give just a little if that’s all you can do. It will help and eventually you will be able to do more, but everything helps!
