Well, it did tell frank they aren't weak to rock type moves. That is something. It was smart and could've worked out better, but it's a start. Edit, If Frank had used a second to think when he saw Dylan's pokemon maybe he could've seen they would all take neutral damage and wouldn't have wasted his terrakion.

I'm pretty sure they dont know what each other's pokemons are until the match based on their reaction, so he already have the Terrakion set for the strat, so might as well use it

@@harryhanddrawn They can see each other's teams in team preview. And can also take a look at each other's team throughout the match, so he had all the information. Then he proudly proclaimed his strat not realizing it wouldn't work. Rocks are still useful, but wasn't going to reveal anything.

Yup, the person above is right. Frank has spent a lot of time trying to make pokemon have multiple abilities in the switch games, and it is impossible

@WanderingCheshire easy, they don't. They do have a mod that allows them to use the hero form of palafin without needing zero to hero though.

Why's that? In this sort of situation (where you don't necessarily know what is on the field), having access to set-up moves is a good stopgap...especially if your opponent ends up using a move to which your Pokémon is immune (forcing either a switch or a different move choice). Yes, Psychic would hit fairly hard to start with, but Stored Power would hit *much* harder with a second turn of setting up...first turn Agility (opponent sets up as well), second turn Calm Mind (opponent uses a neutral move, breaking Illusion), third turn +1 Stored Power at effectively 100 power before STAB.
