This is my attempt at naming as many European cities as I could muster in an hour with no revision. Turns out they accept towns and some villages too. Have a go yourself: iafisher.com/p... Subscribe to the channel: / @geowizard
For those eager for the line review and pack list video, that will be released next Friday, a day after the first bonus footage video (the latter of which will be Patreon only) Until then you can enjoy this video as well as a geoguessr vid. Cheers everyone!
HOLY HOLY!!! I can proudly say that I have the two HOTTEST women on this planet as MY GIRLFRIENDS! I am the unprettiest RU-vidr ever, but they love me for what's inside! Thanks for listening xhom
He is not misspelling... the time is making he’s brain think rapidly that all his information is just crashing into each other and he starts naming cities he knows but in a different country 😂😂
@@chaos6504 36:10 and he did not really misspell it but in Serbia we have this weird letter š pronounced like (sh). So it is Niš. It is pronounced Nish.
@@rembo96 yes and when people speak English with a ridiculous Slavic accent I want to cry, grow up. Do you think English with a Slavic accent sounds any better because it doesn't, it is not any easier for an Anglophone listening to people constantly butcher English pronunciation and pronounce dipthongs like they are pure vowels
I’m really confused he didn’t put Leon, Spain and Marseille, France. He literally put like 5k people towns that nobody knows and forgets about large metropolis lmfao this is so fun, no hate, just saying it was a little funny to me.
Geowizard: names some of the most obscure cities in Europe off the top of his head, with barely any time to spare RU-vid comments: lol what in idiot didnt even get Icelandic cities
@Tweaky Robin I think the likes make the comment seem good but it's actually a bad one because the commentator is probably jealous of the guy in the video so he's telling him to name every european as a way to prove he's so strong
Everyone else in the section comment: How could he forget this HUGE city in my country?!? Me: How the hell is it possible that he mentioned my dumb small loser little homecity wtf he's a wizard
Think about that you even live in a city, ive been spending my pathetic life here in 1000 people village and very little percent of them even speaks same language as me ..
I live in Bremen, and just as I think to myself "come one, you can't forget my city", he types in Bremen and said "Don't you worry, I'm getting you". Needless to say, I feel special now lol
Not polish but same, seeing him struggling to spell Perpignan and ultimately abandoning, and trying (and falling) to pronounce the name of French cities made me laugh and sad for him at the same time
21:05 what the fuck. Im from Bremen and hes saying "dont U worry, im getting ya"... I was quite stunned😂 Before I already thought he might miss Bremen nur then he called it like that
Just did the quiz and that's legit how I could even think of 95% of the cities that weren't in Germany. Shoutouts to Arka Gdynia, Grenoble Foot 38 and Rayo Majadahonda
"Would be nice to get 25% of the people in Europe" - Spends most of his time trying to name tiny towns in the UK instead of trying to come up with some of the big German cities he missed.
*me while he was on the other countries:* how the hell does he have this much city knowledge??? *me while he was on my country:* yeah well, nobody knows everything… _but i could've guessed way more_
Me while he was on the othet countries : how the hell does he have this much city knowledge??? Me while he was on my country : how the hell does he have this much city knowledge???
As a Slovak, I am both impressed that you knew some smaller Slovak and Czech cities, and also amused at the pronunciation, as that was nowhere even close to how those are pronounced :D
@pinkchicken China is the 2nd most relevant country in the world. Germany is also talked about a lot due to its contributions to the EU. UK might be 3rd or 4th. There is also Russia as well.
16:52, how did you remember this. 99.9% of dutch people won't know this. Monster is actually my home town, it only has a population of 15k. I'm impressed.
@C3- KO : SMH that’s absolutely not what I said. He just said he was done in one region and I found it funny that he missed the very largest city of said region.
@Paris Tont Yes, it definitely happens and is very human of him. I was quite surprised though, because he did France and pulled some rather obscure little places out of his sleeve. Marseille is a rather big city with a major football club, which I'm sure he knows about. After having seen a few of his videos, I just didn't expect him to be human anymore. :D
@Paris Tont who knows how to spell shit in Iceland? Lets see here we got: Hafnarfjörður, Reykjavík, Sauðárkrókur, Neskaupstaður, Ólafsfjörður, Sandgerði, Kópavogur. Most of their cities are very hard to spell, even if you could figure out how to pronounce them. Sorry Icelandic people, but its true for us English
Start of the video, my thoughts: "This guy is probably from Spain, he knows a lot of cities from Spain" The England part, also my thoughts: "Mother of God..."
I got 1142 cities when I did this quiz again recently (a lot better than only 500 I got like 2 months ago) and 182 from the UK. I still think I could have done better...
The average European will score better at this game, in part due to our football fanaticism. It’s basically “how many football teams can you name?” lol
It was honestly adorable when he tried to pronounce polish cities. But well done remembering spelling :) I was so happy that he remembered the names of the cities in Poland
Stop generalizing, just because a few Americans are like that doesn't mean all of them are, i'm American and i'm pretty good at geography, and if i said the same thing about people from your countries you would go apeshit
The reason Sweden has so many city names with ”köping” in them, is because it used to be a type of urban municipality. Basically, our old municipal types were ”stad” (town/city), ”landskommun” (countryside municipality/commune), and of course ”köping” (trade/market town). The diffrences between a city and a köping was mainly in legal and administrative perks that differed between them. I believed this system was reformed in the 1970s to combine all types of municipalities into one type, at least as far as the law and government is concerned. This means it’s quite annoying to define what exactly counts as a city in Sweden. Certain municipalities still choose to advertise themselves as cities though, but they’ll still be called a ”kommun” if dragged into court for whatever reason. This means that the signs when you cross Stockholm’s municipal border says ”Stockholms stad” instead of ”Stockholms kommun”, which is what most of these border signs say.
but it makes a lot of sense, Im not from Europe but I understand.. if you're from England and you can travel cheaply to Eastern Europe people are more likely to there over Scotland, go somewhere with a completely different culture and language and landscape over another country in the UK
Holy crap you're a beast, I'm impressed especially around Germany, although I yelled at you in Switzerland, I was surprised you got Saint Gallen. And then.. Iceland ofc.
