When welding one day with full mask and suede jacket with the collar flipped up, i still had a welding spark jump into my mask and land in my eye. Terrible rust stain and burn scar. Had plenty of mri's since and no known particles still in there i guess.
Well said. I had almost exactly the same experience with a similar face shield, and I was also wearing specs. The metal went rusty in my eye and I had to have my cornea scraped to remove the debris. I find safety specs with side guards better than a face shield when grinding. Take care!
You should know about wearing goggles when you tell all your staff about using abrasive wheels, I got told you're coming in on Monday and I hope to see you before you go, you're an amazing manager and I hope I get to stay in touch
