ahh that's so kind of you to say, i really appreciate that :') your comment made my day, especially with all my lingering doubts about how well i portrayed proper care in my video
For the longest time I thought I wasn’t cut out for fish keeping, but this video put it all so simply together. I think I might adopt a betta this summer now (after lots of research of course)!
aww your comment just made my day! i'm so glad my video was able to help you so much :') if you have any questions at all, let me know! i'd be happy to help. happy fishkeeping! hehe
I'm definitely saving this video to help with my own research. When I finally have my own space that I feel great enough for a decent size fish tank, I will instantly be able to come back to it. Your like me, I prefer to research and set uo, before our new friend comes home. Same way I did when I first got my llittle Haku. a little mini rex, otter coat bunny. Just two more months before he's successfully a full years old big boy.
This video is amazing, so simple yet informative and lovely editing. It's so nice to see how much research you've done as well. I came here for a Fluval Spec review since I am debating purchasing one myself and I would love to see an updated video on the tank a year later and your pros/cons! (:
Thank you so much for showing the fishless cycling process! i'm in the process of researching before I get a betta and that's the part im most worried about
aww i completely understand your worries!! i was super worried when i was researching snd getting started too. the best advice i can give you is to have a lot of patience and look for all of the signs of when the cycling starts and when it ends. its a lil daunting at first, but when you get started and get into it, you'll find it pretty easy and worth the wait!! :) lmk if you need any help or have any questions
Amazing amazing video, well done!! i have this tank for one of my bettas, LOVE this tank! except that i had to personal customized the lid and change the outlet intake to reduce the flow.. You did an amazing job with all the research !! and your betta is GORGEOUS!! keep up the good work and keep us updated! and i hope the shrimpy gang and ur betta live happily ever after!
ahhhh thank you so much, i really appreciate the kind words :') you really helped me clear some of my doubts and worries about uploading this video haha
Can I ask exactly what you did to reduce the flow ? I just ordered this as an update for my one single Betta and mystery snail. I don’t want this filter blowing her all over the place but I’m not sure exactly what steps i need to take to stop that.
Great tank! Would like to see an update of how it is going. If you find that the filter outflow is too strong for your betta even on the lowest flow rate you can put a little sponge over it to help!
thanks!! i'll definitely post an update sometime soon :) and yeahh i've actually thought about doing that because it cannn get a lil strong sometimes for my lil guy but at the same time it seems like he enjoys challenging himself and swimming towards it every once in a while for fun xD
oh shoot i completely forgot to mention this in my description, i actually got my live plants from my local fish store bc i found shipping prices to be too high! my LFS sold the duckweed for 25 cents a spoonful if i remember correctly!
This video you made id say is easily the best !!! I love growing moss on the tops of the floating logs since they have all that light & part of it is growing out of the water 💚💙
The problem with the first heater is most likely that it was in a vertical position. That type of heater should be at a 45 degree angle or the thermostat switches off as the hot water from the element rises. Hope this helps others.
hii i really hope you guys enjoy this really special video that i have for you guys today! sorry if it feels very overloaded with betta care info, i just wanted to make sure i included every part of my betta journey in case anyone was curious or has been looking into getting one. regardless, i hope it was fun to see my process of getting my new betta fish and please give lil Turbo some love hehe comment below what yall thought of the video and if you have any questions about betta care! i'll try to advise to the best of my ability but i also highly recommend checking my description for helpful links and videos. :) thanks so so much for watching and i hope you guys have an amazing day
Beautiful video, you did an amazing job with both the video and the tank. Certainly a great video for anyone thinking of getting a betta. I hope turbo is doing well!
ahh your kind words mean so much to me, thank you!! i'm so glad it turned out to be such a helpful and informative video because that was what i was aiming for :) and yes turbo is doing super well hehe
I love your video you did amazing job just want help you out make sure quarantine your fish make sure they have no diseases when they do get ship from different breeders just to help you in the feature
It doesn't look that heavy to lift when empty. I'm looking for a clear transparent container for a sculpture project that can be easily carried around. Yes, I'm trying to make a waterfall.
Great video, I've been looking into getting a Betta for a month or so. I just copied your shopping list and go over it for the look I'm going for. Where did you get your plants? I didn't see them on your list, thanks in advance.
hi there!! sorry for the late reply, for the plants, i bought them at my local fish store :) let me know if you have any other questions, and i cant wait till you get to bring your betta home!
I’ve got a planted tank with sand so I can answer this for you if you haven’t found the answer already! You’ll still need to vacuum up detritus from the sand, just hover above it and swirl the vac around gently to kick up things on the bottom. This is less effective for fine grained sand like the one in the video since it also tends to kick up the sand, I’ve got some heavier grained sand in my tanks so this method works extremely well.
I puchased this same tank for a beta and at the lowest flow setting, the water is moving a lot more than in your final tank view. Did you do something to slow down the water? I see someone commented that you can add a sponge... is this just a normal kitchen sponge? I've also seen someone poke holes in the tube. Just wondering if you did anything?
Do you have calcium deposits around the tank area? I don't have a lid on my tank and there's so much grime on my table. Does this tank have this issue?
