Those first couple.of races just showcase the beautiful innocence of a new player stepping in to the online MKW world. Confused out of their mind as to why they are constantly losing, and why the entire room is filled with Funky Kongs and a couple of Princesses and Babies. Truely makes one remember how tryhard MKW's wifi environment is.
As much as the term tryhard is cringe in itself, that describes it perfectly. Same with how I remember the smash community being. Final destination only, no items, no fun.

Sure, you might not be able to accurately determine who the most "skilled" player is, but does that really matter if you're all having fun? I was Little Z in this room. I think it’s funny I was the first American he shouted out, I was super confused why there was a toad standard kart in the room. I actually watched Poof back in the day but I never realized it was him
9:26 If you didn't know Poofesure, that is called a target shock. The definition is when someone looks at the mini map to see where you are and then purposely shocks you off into the void by looking on the mini map where to see where you are, so they can catch up to you more easily.

@@SSJoby funky kong has a speed stat of +6. when combined with the flame runner, it is the second fastest vehicle in the game. the fastest is a kart so it lacks inside drift and wheelies, making it unviable on most courses
@@MakenaForest Funky has a speed stat of +4, and the sneakster, sprinter, flame flyer, spear, and jetsetter are all faster, but yeah Funky+Flame Runner is the best combo

the issue isnt him needing to use an inside drift bike as much as him just not using straight up wack combos he'd probably do just fine in a mini beast considering its faster and has much more mini turbo
Considering how awful he is at the game and that he's using a kart, he actually did better than I expected (at least in the second room with 4k vr players, he wouldn't have gotten better than 10th in the 9k vr room)
I could not stop laughing at 8:09. Kaden just sending it into space and Poof getting run over by a second mega mushroom who also drives off into the stratosphere. All the while, Poof is trying so hard to keep it on the track
@@AZ-dd2wg You have to shake the remote (or use whatever other method you use to do a stunt on a given controller) right as the POW goes off. You’ll still lose your item and spin once, but you’re able to keep moving, in comparison to just being stopped like when you don’t
4:40 the reason why you cant find a bullet is because someone is holding the bullet and someone else is holding the shock, there can only be 1 of each and since the lobby is so try hard they are holding their items for lap 2 or 3 LOL

it's not funky kong and daisy, it's flame runner and mach bike specifically. outside of time trials, it really doesn't matter what character you use. it is 100% about which vehicle you pick.
The character doesn’t make much of a difference. It’s about the vehicle. Funky Kong is only slightly faster than Bowser but Bowser has the weight and drift advantage.
yo, Mario Kart Wii Amateur and 8 Expert here, lemme give you a few tips. 0:17 we start here. there are only 4 karts that are remotely viable in this game, standard is not one of them. 0:24 you can use a Pro Controller, a Gamecube controller, or even just attach a Nunchuk, all those are infinitely superior to a single Wii Remote. 3:02 shoulda drifted there. 3:53 Poof, you sweet, innocent child. the meta of MKWii revolves around using Funky Kong, Daisy and sometimes Luigi. 5:52 you can trick here 7:41 high places and beating people higher than you give vr 7:59 you can trick here too: electric boogaloo 10:55 trying to trick when a POW goes out will let you "parry" it, sort of 14:27 you can trick here 3: revenge of the sith 14:42 you can trick here 4: the continental drift 15:59 yep. 16:03, no, that will only end your Wii Remote. i mean, it should, but afte Wii Party i doubt that thing can even break.
Every character has different stat bonuses in this game. However they are not quite as important as the vehicle. You could still choose toad but use the bullet bike for example and be much better off. The reason most people use funky kong is because his bonus is mainly speed and the flame runner bike is considered one of the best bikes in the game (the other one being Mach bike which peach and daisy can ride). Bullet bike isn’t too far behind those two but online lag really highlights it’s poor weight stat which makes it tough to race with. Hope this helps

Poof... I feel bad for screwing you on the bowling alley, so a word of advice... Funky Kong on the flame runner is the best combo in the game, with the best middleweight being daisy on the Mach bike, and lightweights being baby daisy on the bullet bike. If you must play toad, I insist you try out the bullet bike, or at least another inside drift bike (the others for lightweights being the quacker, jet bubble, and magikruiser). The handling stat in this game matters very little, as you should be drifting most of the time, and these bikes have a special property where they drift much tighter than the other bikes and karts.
Forgot to mention: toad is probably the worst character in the game, as lightweights are already at a disadvantage due to weight being so important in the game (1. Vehicles travel slower in the air, and lighter characters get more air with every jump. 2. You are much more prone to get knocked off the map), and toad is, in fact. the lightest character in the game, so good luck on any sort of track with multiple jumps.

Everyone plays funky long because he has a speed boost and is a heavyweight character. You've grown so much and now theres strategy in this game somehow.
