So I have been adding a lot of new tools to the shop this year and the latest is this 3D printer. This is the Longer LK5 Pro and I have to say that it is a great little unit. I cant wait to design some new jigs and stops for the shop with this printer as well as some dust collection fixes here and there.
The printer offers some really nice features such as its basically assembled right out of the box and boasts a 4.3" LCD touch screen and a 300 x300x 400mm build range.
This will definitely be a great asset to the shop and I look forward to making some new products.

The first thing that comes to mind is the making of cameos that could be inset into the lids, or faces, of jewelry boxes. This would have a really cool personalizing of the project.

@@CReevesMakes I highly recommend a resin printer too. FDM is fantastic for a lot of things, but small details it is not. I have both, and use them both for different things in and out of the shop

Thanks for the info! 👍🏻 Yeah I figured I would learn the ins and outs of printing and go from there. So many ideas and ways to implement them! Awesome tools for a creator to experiment with!

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but I’d like to get one to try making my own handles and trying out specialized holding fixtures to go with my bench dogs. Maybe even some forms for casting tougher materials.

Good video with excellent info. On a slightly different note, I have been watching you since your first RU-vid and noticed tou have upgraded to SawStop. Curtious when that happened and if you are happy you did? I think its obvious why you switched. Looking forward to more cool videos!
