It seems like the fixed focus on the camera might be intentional, considering it's likely designed for children, who tend to take photos of things up close - their toys, pets, or family members - rather than distant landscapes. Anyways, I loved the video and the pics look very nice 🤍
Was about to suggest the same. I also used to own a fisher price perfect shot camera as a kid and remember shoving the lens really into the ladybugs faces that I saw 😅
Yes! I remember I got gifted a vivitar camcorder (my first camera!) when I was around 6, and I would always get up close to my budgies and take pics of them really up close lol.
I can't help feeling sorry for little Teo, whose camera was never given to him in the early 2000's. What misdemeanor did he commit that caused his parents to put it back in the closet, there to remain for lo these many years?
Brightly colour camera, comfortable handle, binoculars view finder, this is the best camera ever and don't forget the best feature of all backdoor lock mechanism!!! Why not every camera built like that so no more someone accidentally open the backdoor 😅😂
lovely video, thank you! i was just thinking that you could maybe put the name of the camera somewhere, even just the description, as i can imagine someone getting a hold of this camera and desperately looking for some information about it online, only to find not much :( it's a scenario i've found myself in and it's not fun! this video could really help someone. thanks from spain :)
I always enjoy your videos!!! They are presented in a very aesthetic way, they are helpful & extremely interesting!!! Thank you for your videos & continue the amazing work & effort you put into them!! 📸🎞️
Fun camera and very attractive looking. I assume the camera was designed with children's perspective therefore fixed close focus distance. You have just proved the point that camera doesn't matter, a person behind the camera matters more.
Wonderful video Teo! Seen these types of cameras floating around charity/thrift shops, some film, some digital! Fun! How a simple camera can still be a joy to use and get some decent results! Thanks for sharing!
what do think that little children (for which this camera is made) are going to shoot ? Landscapes ? Seastacks in the the sunset ? They will make photos of their friends and playmates. Sitting together at beach, building a sandcastles. Sitting together at a birthday table making a photo of their playmate sitting opposite. Focus point within 2 or 3 meters seems to be very thoughtful in my opinion.... Nice video, Thx for your work.
Well with F6.8 and 35mm it would be hard to make this lens sharp to infinity, probably it is calibrated for shooting people like from 1,5m to 4m with focus point set around 2,5m.
Hi; i just wanna tank you for the good mood that you put me in with your vedios, you remember me with the old days when i was younger caring for nothing enjoying photography and the whol process of taking and developing film .... nowaday its a bit hard for me to do it as i used to due to the complecatings in life, family and responsielity. keep on my friend wish you all the best your old felow photographer Haitham
I bought my first film camera and have shot 3 rolls of film!! Thanks for all the tips and inspiration! Canon AE-1 and Kodak Gold 200 and Kodak UltraMax400!
OMGGG I HAD THIS CAMERA AS A KID... god i wish my parents still had this... oh man this brings back memories ...this camera was my very introduction to photography...i just didnt realize back then
I really enjoyed this video Teo nice and fun. Actually laughed audiably with that first test shot, that was, in my opinion some of your finer work. Would love to see you try again with your knowledge about the camera.
The only reason I can think of why the camera only holds focus when it's more than what's in front of you is maybe it's meant to be a portrait lens? Like specifically to take photos of people that's right in front of it?
Hi, I've just gotten my first film camera, and I have a quick question. After getting a digital version of your photos, do you ever edit/color grade them with programs such as lightroom? Thanks!
I scan my film myself, so it's kind of hard to say, because the conversion process is basically and editing process, but some may not count this as editing. Your digital scans you received are also edited, because the lab edits them for you. So if you are not entirely happy with their edit and would prefer to make minor changes, you can go ahead and do that yourself in Lightroom. It's your photography, your choice, so I do not see any issue there?
I don’t know what camera I expected but certainly not this one lol. It has the same color scheme as Willem Verbeeck’s Long Weekend camera accessories, Fisher Price was ahead of its time design-wise! 😂
Thank you! My video's colours mostly stem from colour grading I do in Lumetri - I usually only add Dehancer on top as an extra subtle spice sort of :D Often I will use only the Grain, Halation and Bloom without any film simulation. Other times I do use some simulations - I usually find myself choosing FujiPro 400H because it is more subtle.
Thank you! Ahhh I've been meaning to make this, but it would take a looot of work to find them all again (they're all from Epidemic Sound btw.) so I haven't gotten around to making such a playlist yet :/
@@rifkzzz None, I just spend many hours going through the tracks of different genres. I usually pick a genre and then filter by tags such as “with Vocals”. So for example the song in the intro I found in the genre Alternative-Rock, which I just filtered by vocals and then clicked through a bunch of songs until I found this one which hit just the right vibes for me☺️🙌🏼
The world of small children isn't very large from the perspective of an adult,so Fisher Price got it about right and also allowed for a child's attention span.........................................
