It totally shouldn't have taken me more than five years to get a Windows 8.1 PC, now I have done exactly that. With an AMD A6 APU and integrated graphics, how bad could this HP Pavilion 500-a60 possibly be? I hope you enjoy this video.

Just for the record, this is one of only two Windows 8.1 computers I've ever owned in my life, excluding virtual machines as those are, well, virtual machines. The other one was an Asus Transformer Book T-100 I got for Christmas back in 2014, as one of my first computers (and while it is no longer in my possession, that same day I got another computer that I still have). Also yes the outro occured while I turned off the monitor. Didn't really catch that detail in editing.

Those poor things were already very underpowered even when they were new. An old LGA 775 3 ghz Pentium Dual core would mop the floor with those things

when I did my 2014 windows build I loved windows 8.1 it worked fine for my gaming needs.

Honestly 8.1 era was pretty unique, especially with the cross-formfactor vision and universal apps (and it was a very fast OS too since Microsoft had to get it to run well on 1Gb RAM Atom tablets)

Interesting, this 8.1 version they seemed to skimp out and installed a Mobile A6. I have a slightly older version for Windows 7 and has a full desktop CPU & PCIE + PCI expansion. It actually makes a very good Win XP 32 Bit gaming pc with either a ATi/Radeon Card or NVIDIA Card.

I recognize that chassis. It was used from the Vista era well into 8.1 and maybe early 10? I own a Windows 7 model with an Athlon II X2 255 and 10GB DDR3 on a uATX board.
