Try looking for extreme coupon people in your area clearing out their stockpile. You can find them on Facebook marketplace. You can get laundry soap, dish soap, paper products ect all for half off.
Everyone starts somewhere. Don’t let any negative comments bring you down. My now husband and I got our first apartment when we were 18. It was soooo tiny. Studio apartment. 10 years later we bought our first house. You go girl!

It’s such a cute place! I love how open it is, it makes it so much easier to keep an eye on Ava while you’re cooking. You mentioned that your stove was an older model, but it looks like it’s in good condition & it’s gas, which in my opinion is much nicer than electric. Cooking isn’t my favorite thing to do, but I find it much easier with a gas stove. Electric burners don’t always heat evenly, & you can control the heat much better with a gas burner. When you’re boiling water on an gas burner & it starts to boil over you just turn the gas down, with an electric burner you also have to lift the pot off the burner & let it cool off a little before you put it back down or it’ll just boil over again. I also love your bathroom! I don’t think I’ve ever seen an apartment with a little vanity area like that before, it’s so cute! You can probably find a cute inexpensive vanity seat/chair (one that has no back or one with a short little quarter size back) at Marshals, TJ Maxx or Home Goods. Congratulations again! I didn’t even have furniture in my first place I had a bed and a dresser and that was it. So you’re all good don’t worry about other people. We all start somewhere.
What a nice home Chole!!! I love the idea about putting a chair/stool in the bathroom for a make-up vanity table easy to keep clean right next to the sink plus probably good lighting! Hey girl just a couple tips but you will figured this out whenever you live on your own for a while. There are some things you go cheap on some things you might want to buy name brand. Like trash bags I use name brand because they actually grip the can and don’t fall in. I don’t go cheap on dish soap either because you will end up spending the same amount because you have to use so much but dawn will last you forever! I use Walmart brand toilet paper though
Hmm Ill have to try targets brand! I use almost everything great value but the trash bags would always fall in the can. I’ve only tried the GV and Glad so we just went with the glad lol
amen. I hate cheap trash bags, laundry soap lottion dish soap the most cuz the cheap stuff never lasts and I have to use way more to clean less among a few others but the dish soap is my pet peeve for cheap.. and hand soap

My husband and I moved into our first apartment with our son a few months ago. We get a lot of our stuff at the Dollar tree too, but stopped getting paper towels there. At our Walmart or CVS we can get about 12 rolls of toilet paper for about 8ish dollars. You can get a Kroger card and you'll save money on the groceries that you buy that are Kroger Brand (honestly taste the same). We usually save about 10+ dollars on our grocery shopping. We also get our trash bags from Kroger because you get 120 bags for 13 dollars and then you get a discount because its Kroger Brand. We haven't even finished the first roll and it's been since June! I get all my cleaning supplies from the Dollar tree besides dish soap. They have full size comet cleaners and they work like wonders. I love their Cleaning brushes, especially the green scouring pads, sponges, soap pads, and copper steel wool (super good for removing charred on food from pots and pans). I also get all my decor at the Dollar tree 😂

The empty space in the restroom next to the sink you should put like a storage drawer for your makeup or towels or just for organization or like a tiered rolling cart

So happy for you! I don't know if you have an Aldi near you but it's probably my favorite store for grocery/household shopping because it's so much cheaper than Walmart or any local grocery store I've been to. I also shop at Dollar Tree like you said. Best of luck to you & Ava!!🙂
In the restroom where that space is under the sink you could always put little organizing drawers or cabinets ? Maybe for the towels and then you could use the pantry space for other things :)
