Unboxing of the GOTRAX EBE1 Foldable Electric Bike, that I bought from Amazon. (I am NOT sponsored) Neat little E-bike, Full review coming out shortly :)
Nice review. I have just bought one. After watching your video. I think I will do a unboxing as well. Sweet bike for the right price. I hope we can get an extra battery made for them.
I just got one and I can’t fold it.The locking safety is too hard? Do i have to push it down first or sideways or something? Because it doesn’t budge if I just pull it up!
I actually just sold mine after owning it for a month. I'll tell you why: I own an m365 Pro Xiaomi Scooter that cost about the same and it wins on portability, range and speed (with a firmware mod it goes about 34km/h vs 25km/h). This bike is more versatile on city streets because of the larger wheel base and handles rough roads better, but that's about where the benefits ended for me. It's quite heavy at over 50 pounds and living on the third floor of a building with no elevator made it much more annoying than the scooter which is about 30 pounds and smaller. Collapsing it was too much of a time suck so I didn't bother when bringing it into the condo, definitely not a process I'd want to do daily. This bike may work for some people, but I like my scooter much better.
@@pattnwia No worries, like I said I think it all depends on how you're using it. If you don't plan to bring it up stairs or fold it up a lot it could be a decent option. A few other things I didn't mention though... the pedal assist mode is pretty useless I found. The only mode that really works is full electric, and you can pedal during that too, but I found the gearing was too low (high?) to get any traction without really pedaling fast. Riding it without any electric option is not fun at all. Last gripe, I'm about 6 feet tall and I found that the bike is just a tad too small for that height. If you do go with a scooter, give some thought to the condition of the roads and paths you'll be using it on. I use mine in a city that has tonnes of crappy roads, but if you're paying attention it's certainly manageable.
@@pattnwia i checked their website and still no info about battery replacement that makes me think twice if ill get this or not. 😟 i sent them an email too but no response
@@ItsMeJeki Yea i think they discontinued this model. So it will be hard to find parts for this bike specifically. What about their newer models? any luck with those??
@@pattnwia i feel like they are prioritizing scooters coz they have really good scooters available. :( can you recommend another option that's 16 inch, foldable, $1k?
Dont buy this bike, bought one and the battery began failing in the first 3 days of use, then the rear tire stem ripped out for no apparent reason, so we used the warranty and got another bike, and this new bike the throttle has already failed and only peddle assist works for about 4 miles before the battery fails
