Hey take that cloche thats broken and glue on a portion of leather belt around the top. It would look so cute and keep the glass from breaking all the way. And you can put a tiny christmas tree in it!! Lol.
Hi Julie! Use metallic tape, folded in half around the chipped glass edge. It will add to the item and you can get the tape in a variable of metals at a craft store.
You have such a great eye for awesomeness. I liked the metal basket. I love the idea of pairing and distressing the birdcage. I also think a wood round on the bottom would pop. Good luck with the show.
I think that wooden thing you showed after the letterpress is actually a vent cover for an old wooden floor. I have a very similar smaller one in my house. 😊
I wish I could attach a picture of my walls! I have my inherited silver pieces and thrifted silver displayed gallery wall style in my family room!!! I get so many compliments! Love seeing these pieces everyday instead of put away! Loving your channel! Vicky from Alabama ❤️🦩❤️
Just found your channel recently! You are so fun 😃 love me a good thrift haul! My parents had one of those shells with a blue glass insert back in the day... they used it as an ashtray! 😂😂😂
I could watch you all day! I love the ideas and the items you find. I had one of those printers' things years ago, but alas, it's gone now. Thanks for taking us along for your hauls!
I am glad to learn I am not the only one who gets something home and realizes that I didn't notice a chip or crack. I try to pay close attention, but sometimes I still miss it! That letter press box! I have never seen one yet. I think if I ever do I will be so excited that I won't care about the price. Lol! What an excellent haul this week!
Love your videos! I’m a newbie but I’ve found myself waiting for you to post new videos, we have the same taste and a lot of the same ideas, same sense of humor, pretty sure we’d be the best of friends if we could ever meet! Kindred spirits for sure! I was thinking that bird cage would look really cute on top of the brass stand, you could make a wood bottom to set it on....then work your magic! Anyway, keep up the awesomeness!! 🥰❤️🙏🏻 THANK YOU!!
What an amazing haul! I love all the tarnished silver. I collect those pieces too. I would have been so happy to score all the pieces you did. Thanks for sharing.
You had me laughing as most people would think you are a little nuts to get so excited over having a thrift store to yourself, lol, but I get excited just like you to go find those treasures and let your imagination explode. So much fun!
Im so happy for you I wish i had that luck. I have had people not sell me stuff because I told them I flip so I stopped telling people Washington is very hard to make it.
You are so awesome!!!. You need your own tv show. I love your enthusiasm and the joy you have in your work and special finds!!! That brass heavy basket at the end. My favorite !!!
It is my first time to your channel! That was awesome that they had you shop by yourself! You found great stuff! My favorite item was the cream basket! Your kiddos are so cute! I look forward to your diys! Thank you for sharing! Stay safe, healthy and positive! GOD bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊
On those brass lamp stand I make bird feeders and use those big putor platter's and I put cute ceramic birds I have painted, using your baking soda mixture and sell them. In my space I rent in an antique mall. I use the clear Silicon water proof great to last outside weather !!! Love you videos so much fun !!!
Glue some burlap around the rim of that cloche! Maybe sand down the broken glass first to make sure there are now sharp points! 😉 that wld look so cute!!!
Your chipped glass can bee repaired at a glass / mirror store. They can even have the hole at the top cut larger to remove the chipped area, so it will be as good as new. I would put a large battery operated pillar candle in it with some greenery etc. and cover it with the glass cover
By far my favorites are the tarnished pieces and the letter press drawer. I just got a whole box of letters, now I need the drawer!! Love your videos - thanks for sharing ☺️❤️
Julie, I would find a cloche to replace the broken glass topper for the concrete saucer. I love watching your finds. You are the cutest with your southern accent!!
You could put a plain clear vase (that you looked at in your thrift store the day you lost your rings) to go with your marble base that had a broken glass with it. Great for a winter scene with trees and a deer.
The BEST item.... LIKE ALL !!!! Oh my goodness all those SILVER TRAYS and CREAM AND SUGAR SET.... soooo jealous ! Then that “Letter Drawer”...and the other wood piece - I wonder if that one is a register that goes on a wall? Of course being from SNOW COUNTRY and it’s cold here....I’m thinking heat ! LOL !!!! You know another idea for the “ steamer pot ” is people take them apart and take a piece of wood and layer the individual pieces to make them look like a Christmas tree. I have one ! Love it ! 🌲 Oh my gosh I think I am as excited about this haul as you ! Look at ALL those cutting boards...oh I wish I wasn’t way up in New York ! Great...GREAT FINDS! Congratulations on this haul 😁👍 🧡🍁🧡
Letter presses are exspensive here in Australia also. But I adore them. I want one to store minitures in. Not an original idea but I love the look. Thanks for the tarnished silver tips. Good luck with your show! 🌺
I'm totally binge watching your videos! It is garage sale season here finally! and even though I've got a lot of projects to flip in the garage, I still am excited to go hunting! I definitely want to try to sell my goodies but I keep wanting to find places in my new house. 😂 The basement and garage are crazy right now but I don't do clutter upstairs so I will run out of room soon 🙈😂 I've been waiting impatiently for nice weather so I can open the garage up and spray paint and play!
How did I miss this September Spree ?? I’d die and go to HEAVEN to have the joint to myself !! What a blast !! Ok, hands down my favorite item was the big wooden floor grate. So many possibilities. You make me laugh out loud, I love your channel, and caviar ?? No thank you, not in this house either !! Happy Thrifting !! 🥰
Don’t throw your broken cloche away. Wrap some jute twine around the broken section on top. Tie on a couple of small shells around the neck of the cloche. Add some larger shells in the base, maybe a starfish too and an air fern plant.
Love your fantastic thrift haul. I definitely like to find silver but I clean mind up .i I use thru out my house. Kitchen, bathroom every where. Loved the ones with wood never seen before. You are right it is hot in the south. I’m from N.C. And the cool fronts are great. God’s blessings on y’all.
OMG..😫 You are such a brat!! Lol... I'm totally jealous... I'm running out of stuff to redo...Love it.. Good for you, you go girl.. Keep'em coming girlie. ♥️
@@mariettedemarest5173 I remember my grandmother had bed warmers and they had a lid that had a latch on it and it was brass or copper. Def not silver. . I figured these were serving pieces that gloved servants would offer guests at long elaborate dining tables. Pretty sure I've seen them in movies depicting the 1800's
If you're doing any Halloween decor at your show, I vote for keeping the birdcage black . . . Toss in some Spanish moss, maybe a black bow to camouflage the hook and Dollar Tree has bird skeletons. Creepy fun! Love your hauls & upcycles;-)
You are so excited! I get it, I would love to have that happening, it’s such a thrill! I have moved my business home and I’m sure people will drop off things for me too. I wish it stayed hot here. I live in the South-VA, but we do get a Winter and I don’t have insulation in my new (shed) shop yet! Some of your saying crack me up “we sweat our booty’s off for months and months” lol! You so fun to watch, I live your ideas and we thrift some of the same items! Oh yeah, I found 2 of those letter press thingies at the “100 mile yard sale they have here every July but he wanted $20 each , so I passed on them to try to be wise with my money and bought a cabinet instead, boo, wish I’d gotten them!
I think my favorite item is the letterpress drawer. So glad I happened upon your channel. I knew when you spoke that you had to be from south Louisiana! (me too, but now live in Florida) Wishing you continued success!
