Was in the stream when this happened. People can say whatever in game chat, and some guy was throwing around slurs. So, in response, I call him an asshole. Who gets banned? Me. Why? Because I was ‘disrespectful’ and violated PS ToS.

I agree with what you said about you getting banned is stupid, but I disagree with the process you said. I don't think they were listening to you in the party by yourself, I think its the fact that you were streaming it through Playstation, so playstation can go through the STREAM and confirm any reports, NOT in the actual party. If you weren't streaming through playstation and were streaming through something else I highly doubt it would've happened. Also if you think about it, how else would they ban people that are streaming some foul stuff, they just go through the stream and monitor it if its reported. But don't get me wrong what you got banned for is pretty stupid
The harsher example would be like if someone was yelling out slurs while streaming on youtube through playstation and then blaming playstation for listening to his solo party convo when he was streaming it the entire time. Playstation would easily just ban them because they control the streaming aspect if its through playstation that you're streaming on and they would look back through the stream. This is just a harsher example to get you to understand, but the stuff you said was not deserving of a ban lmfao
Im only saying this bc you said in the video if someone can explain just in case you're misreading the situation, also in the screenshot you posted to the community, it says the ban was due to content you uploaded to explore (the stream) not that you were saying stuff in a party
i think this makes sense based on the screenshot yeah they probably banned you marauder by watching back the playstation stream if you were streaming through psn not by listening to the party

If your controller mic wasn’t muted, that may be how they were eavesdropping on you. Someone had to have reported you to Sony for it to happen. Though it never should have happened in the first place. All they had to do was contact you directly to clear the air. This is pure nonsense and I hope your ban is overturned.

Same thing happened to me a few months ago . I was streaming fifa pro clubs . My team lost and I crashed out in a party by myself. I didn’t think much of it cause I’ve said way worse things in my party chat but because I was streaming , PlayStation banned me for uploading inappropriate content to the PlayStation network. So if you’re streaming from your console anything you say can be used against you. I personally wish PlayStation was better with explaining why you got suspended, so you don’t do the same thing again. And the fact that their is no appeal system for anything other than chargebacks is ridiculous
same thing happened to me i got a warning though i called PS support asking them what was the warning for because i don’t even message no one no more and obviously they couldn’t even give me a valid reason.
