So glad you're doing better! I saw the video you deleted and knew you were in a bad place. Wanted to reach out to you but wasn't sure if i should. But your back and I am personally very happy you are back! You have helped me so much in my journey of wood carving and I am forever gratefully for your videos. Thank goodness you are healing physically, and it seems mentally as well. Thanks again for dedication to helping others to progress in wood carving!
Glad you’re recovering. It only takes a split second to change your life forever, or end your life for good. Glad you’re able to start getting back to it. Take it easy and heal.
Watching you work on details helps so much. I love your bears. Just watched this video as well as the German Shepherd stump you carved. Didn't know you had been injured, but glad you're recovering from it. I've seen enough injuries from chainsaws, as well as angle grinders, that I'm pretty cautious about them. Hope you continue to improve daily. Crazy how we know things and still put ourselves in harms way sometimes. I feel you on being hyper aware after the fact. I never thought a bug bite could take me out, but after getting Lymes disease from a tick bite, and having my life turned upside down, I am hyper aware of taking the precautions to protect myself. Not just from bug bites, but a lot of other things as well. PPE and proper handling are so important. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I hope you're able to find some things that help your pain in your hands and arms. I have heard positive things about ozone therapy, so maybe check that out. I also take my mom to a pain and spine clinic where they give her shots in her back, hips and hands. It helps so much with her pain. Worth looking into. Best wishes, and don't give up.
lol, if you watch enough of my videos, you can see my 9 month battle with lyme disease, chances are very high that even years later, it played a role in my getting injured, i have lingering affects from lyme, it never leaves the body, the struggle is real, but all we can do is take every day for what it is and make the best of it!😊😊
Good to see you back & glad you're ok, thought you just gave up on the channel which would be a tremendous loss with all of your excellent work & knowledge. I too suffered a chainsaw injury last year, got pinned to the ground cutting a tree that was hung up from storm damage at my parents home. Fractured the tip of my fibula & a broken foot. Totally understand about being hesitant now, but facing our fears is how we overcome them. Good to see you "back on the horse" that threw you.
Hi love the videos. Hope you are feeling better. I watch your videos for the the carving tips which have improved my carvings. I have done commision carvings but i am not keen on doing them due to the pressure...i just like to carve what i want and if someone wants to buy them they can. Thanks for your tutorials ..much appreciated.
Yeah I agree with you on the commission thing it's really hard because if you think about how much time it takes you just to do pieces that you normally would do just for inventory or for enjoyment and then you put that into trying to have a time frame work is like a big Interruption for me in life even easy ones it's easier for me to go to pizza delivery make about the same that I would off doing a commission that takes me a week to do and I probably stress over and work on that commission every waking hour of that week as I try to stumble over everything else I've definitely gone the route of trying not to take any commission work because I'm always too busy to LOL
