So true, i remember struggling with queues soo much when I used to play by myself !

The video is shorter than my average DPS queue time :/.

And then it resets after 45 seconds because someone didn't Accept, 7/10 times it's a DPS. When that happens to me, I like to visualize that scene from Taken: "I don't know who you are, but I WILL find you, and I WILL kill you." I actually do the same thing when I wonder who was in charge of designing the game play loop for Eureka.

No joke, this video made me remember to use my ranged attack as DRG while avoiding AOEs.

@@muffetmissulena6540 to be fair, I understand why people do not want to break their combo. The good news is, in Endwalker, you can now use your ranged attacks without breaking your combo!!!! Now people really have no excuse not to use them. Of course, a grace period to adjust to this will be needed, but this is a great addition.

Yes my job is to queue in stuff wait til it pops and withdraw at the last possible moment for you to feel pain. And if I get a penalty, I wait it out and do it again 30 minutes later. I am the bane of your existence. (Haha "bane")

ok so...to be fair...since technical step has a bigger cooldown and is FOUR buttons to hit (with cooldowns too even if they're mudra speeds) that's so much less damage i'm doing at the moment my brain sometimes refuses to remember i have Technical Step. Also i'm STILL not used to it being such a short duration and it stacking with Standard...

You don't loss a lot of mettle though. It only becomes slighty noticable if you release, but if you are ressed it is a non-issue. Zadnor gives so much mettle.

@@Elidan1012 That's after unlocking Zadnor though. Most people who haven't gotten to unlocking Zadnor because they died in Bozja or DR can't recoup that mettle yet, which could definitely delay their progress into getting into Zadnor. Plus, the higher rank you are, the more punishing death is, technically speaking. It's still rough to die and then lose all that mettle if you ever plan on maxing out your ray of valor/fortitude/succor stacks for DRS or just speed up DR for relics. lol

I found Bardam's Mettle a pretty great place to practice dodging Mechanics. The first boss is literally just a dodge mechanics gauntlet.

To be fair I was in Sohm Kai once and while I don't run Ninja I assumed what the ninja did was put down was an AOE so I dragged the mob into it. Their reply was literally 'huh never had a tank drag the mob INTO my AOE before.' I think sometimes its just the lack of communication, DPS assume the tank is going to go one or two mobs at a time so they put down their AOEs and the Tank keeps pulling.. and pulling and Oh Hi wall...

@@LadyLunarPhoenix oh yeah i personally am not the biggest fan of wall-to-wall pulling (which is why i've only ever done dungeon runs as a tank with at least one friend with me) but when i play NIN i just wait till i KNOW the tank is done before dropping my Doton cause i already expect them not to wait. and then when they die i reflexively try to keep the damn healer alive rather than running away...

@@LadyLunarPhoenix and it can happen between healers and tanks as well. Since we have had an influx in new players I like to ask both my healers and DPS if I'm tanking if they want room wide pulls from beginning to end, if they can handle it and often times even with veterans I have found healers and DPS that feel nice to be asked that. Once I had a healer that literally thanked me for asking because he was having a rough day and he wanted to take the dungeon slow to hear the music and the DPS agreed with him so we took it slow. Sometimes is easy to forget that communication is key for good teamwork even if dungeons are easy. Also when I heal first thing that comes out of my mouth is that "I like reckless tank behaviour" meaning tanks can go crazy and it still surprises me how happy and giddy some tanks can get when they are allowed to go crazy. I remember once in a dungeon this dude asked me if I wanted to raid with their FC since they didn't have good healers and we found out that on Emerald weapon EX if 1 tank and the healers know what they need to do you can get a dps to be a semi tank and have 5 DPS for easy clearing even the thé iLvL wasn't that high at the time. Talking is nice and people appreciate it.

@@gwagner1380 same. I was healing in a run of LotAs once and we had a tank that DCed during the 3 demon keep apart section. Called out the alert to the other two parties, we cordinated right there for each one other teams give up a DPS to go help keep the aggro for the tankless party. Then we healers spread out so we could look after our now detached DPS and the rest of our groups. Respectful Communication makes the dream work!

Been having that problem with my Ninja this week, servers seem to be lagging a bit and my mudras keep lagging which really kills my combo and output for the next 60 seconds.

Yeah as a dps I always say hello and thankyou, I know it can help me get comms. Explains why I get the comms when I mess up alot sometimes too. But I never give up and get back up and try. Got 3 comms in the newest dungeon 1st run and I died on the second boss, however the 3rd boss the healer died and me and the tank kept going for a while. I think people can tell I lag sometimes and especially this week, seems to be a server overload. Only fights I struggle with are the 24 man raids tbh, died like 7 times lol said to myself I better not get any comms I don't deserve them and I didn't

From my experience- being alt tabbed in YT or another site because the queue was taking eons for you too and you end up missing the queue pop sound.

There are times when one has to simply accept that being selfish is essential to a healer :p if someone dies THAT much i will not rezz them unless my instant is up, if it isnt.... enjoy scrubbing the floor for a bit, i am busy with Broil...

Thats fair, but remember some people lag and move in time on their screen but still get hit. But 4 times in a row to the same thing, thats easy to predict to move. I also try and use my second wind and bloodbath if I get caught and its my fault, just to help the healer a bit. But your job is to heal
