Thank you for sharing, I think it was around 2000, I was working as a carpenter at Mt Hotham resort during the summer on a major construction project. It was a Monday morning at around 5 am and I was driving up to Hotham to start work. It is a very winding road and at points very steep. At some point I noticed a light that was reflecting from what thought must have been inside the car on to the passenger side window. I began moving any objects that I could see that may be able to reflect any light within the car, to no avail. This began to annoy me so after from memory approximately 5 minutes I pulled over took off my seatbelt leant over and wound down the passenger side window, thinking “there that will get rid of the distraction!” I proceeded to drive off, expecting to look over with satisfaction that the light would be gone, I was shocked to see it still there. It was just a split second it took me to process the fact that this light was indeed outside the car and was travelling along side me for the last 5-10 minutes! It was at that moment of realisation that it just took off so fast that I basically lost sight of it. I felt that my processing and realisation was why it took off, as if it wanted aknowlegment from me. When going up to Hotham 80% of the way there is the down side of the hill (a very steep and deep decline) this thing was following me on the left for 5-10 minutes. I still get goosebumps today when I think that when I lent over to wind down the window that this thing was hovering just alongside my car. I was shaking when I got to Hotham, it did not threaten me, but I got the feeling it wanted my aknowlegement of it’s existence

Thank you for sharing this; I experienced min min lights not knowing that name and phenomenon in 1999 in Queensland. It was very simillar to your experience but one light became 3 and then 5 and then one again coming up to me and then going up and down for about 20-30 min. First I was thinking that somebody was trying to scare me but then I realized that a car or motocycle couldn't do that. I came back to Sydeny and my Australian friends (I am European) told me about min min lights, yet everybody laughed at me so I stopped telling this story.
Hi. Thanks very much for telling me this. It is a real thing and quite a mystery. More research needs to be done as it is a very interesting subject. I believe you fully and don’t be afraid to tell others as you will soon find those who experienced the same.
We had three lights chase us up the back of wee jasper NSW in 1982. It was that dark within the mountains and these lights lit up the area like it was daylight. I know that we’re UFO’s with lights. I think they were going in and out of this cave network that not long found in the mountains that connect to Carey’s cave network but they haven’t found where they connect. Bloody scary when your asleep in darkness and your tent lights up and you feel this intense heat. Thinking it was someone playing a prank, one being a mate sleeping in the other food supply tent, but I found him near cry and shitting himself. He said before I came out of the tent, these things were shooting off into space in a split second before coming back to earth.
Could you share any more detail please? Do you have any theories? I know, it's our human nature to think of spooky "ghosts", UFOs etc, but I wonder if they are some kind of creature? Think of all the 100s of bioluminescent weird and wonderful creatures in the deep oceans! Maybe we have some kind of creature in our skies, that we just don't see during the daytime, and it's just curious!
I've seen it twice.. Last time was a month ago... It's amazing. Mostly seen on sacred land. South east Australia , Canunda region. My parents saw it in the 60's and it followed them through the same area.
