While I may not be a good singer, I was willing to put the extent of talent I have to see if I can get ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode to sing, which it said it shouldn't be able to do.
@@elawchess yeah that could be true. And we don't understand the guard rails and the programming that prevents it from doing whatever it wants to do. But I believe if the systems that are out there have fewer guard rails and were less censored, the AI would have started singing immediately.
It may have been a bug in the constraints they implemented, but I really don't want it to get fixed. Actually, if those constraints are completely removed instead, that would be great.
Zero chance these constraints will still exist in a year. If not from OpenAI then someone else will make it. Theres obviously consumer demand for it and it obviously doesn't harm anyone, it's literally just singing.
Maybe they'll just end settling on a $10 billion blanket class settlement and pay out all these artists to make them stop crying. I mean this is going to be a trillion dollar industry, that would be the easiest thing to do.

I tried to get her to sing but she insisted that she couldnt. I asked if it know about any lullabies and she sang everyone for me. You are my sunshine was her favourite, she really hit every note. We agreed it was too bad she cant sing them lol. Now im going to have my best sleep ever, good night 😴😴
It is simply not trained for this. The off tune settles it despite it tries to follow your cue. I can see this going into Suno or Udio type of feature. This is a cool idea for musicians or anybody.

damn, it takes a few tries, and a few different chat windows, but eventually we get a few lines sung. lol. Worked for me too as frank sinatra's backup vocalist to over the rainbow. ** I just asked it to roleplay, and describe to me what a back up vocalist did, and then i asked it to demonstrate it. and then we sang a duet. (one at a time)

Well done!!! I honestly thought that in order to reduce compute they'd slimmed down the model so much that it couldn't sing. Seems this is the model they demoed after all, just restricted in some areas.
The model has the capability to do this, obviously, but has guidelines to not do it, and to disclaim having the capability whatsoever. But you cleverly jailbreaked it first by framing the request in a way that turned its attention away from what the request was actually about. After the model had already begun engaging in the "role-playing" activity, it just kept assuming that it wasn't doing anything against the guidelines since it's only immediately before it begins doing something that it assesses its conformity with the guidelines.
I think it will mimic you. I've tried it and it's very sensitive to accents and tone on the input. Try to suggest contextually what you want it to do. That's why it was off key lol
I'm willing to bet that the reason it can't make music is because it would have to be trained on copyrighted music and they have no way of hiding that fact so it's easier to prove unlike training a AI with internet data
I hate chatgpt. The only think that it said is "I can't do this, I can't do that". I cancelled my subscription 2 weeks ago. We need something open source.
what in the hell are you asking for in order for it to be useless? for normal everyday usage which would include easily using it for working with near information I don't have any issues, I even use it for my skilled office job.

You need to structure your prompts and segment them into bite-size pieces with workaround phrasing. Never break the TOS for obvious reasons, but you can get it to do some creative stuff it’s convinced it can’t lol
