No fishing in any body of water needs to be posted by law, It must be signage at no less than four inches tall, Posted at forty eight inches high, And posted every two hundred feet. If none of these situations are met. You are safe to fish as long as you have efficing license. Know your laws.

In all fairness, I know a lot of game wardens who would not have hesitated to give this guy a ticket so props to that guy. A close family friend of mine who was a detective for 25+ years jokes that game wardens are always pissy because they failed at being a real cop lol

Kinda crazy how many are bashing the warden for being professional. The whole "he came out as a aggressive in he voice" is bs. He was speaking calmly the being he shouted cause of the distance. The filmer was being respectful and knew he messed up. But people want to bash people who are there to keep people from overfishing, and poaching.

Game warden on a power trip

Had a similar incident with a deputy sheriff, was fishing at night at a lake and was told the park closed at 10:30 pm. There’s nothing there other than a boat ramp, two docks, a roof over some picnic tables and a porta potty. Asked where the park was and I’m only fishing so what’s the problem? Park closes at 10:30 he says, so I asked if he was gonna kick the campers out because it’s 10:30? He says no they are camping, well all I was doing trying to fish at a lake and your kicking me out. If this park closes at 10:30 why doesn’t that park close too? Got nowhere with my argument obviously so I put my fishing gear back in my truck and told the officer to have a good night and since I can’t fish a public lake I might as well go home and fire up the meth lab since fishing at public lake past 10:30 was such a crime.

So the issue wasn't even where you were fishing, it's where he ASSUMED you were launching your kayak. This wasn't even a "warning" situation. It was a "I know the law is kinda weird, but be sure you're launching your kayak from the boat ramp because that's the law and I'll have to find you if I see you launching anywhere else, and I don't want to do that. Have a nice day." Kind of situation.

He's with Fayette County Marshall's office, not a game warden. You can't put in a kayak there because the property is owned by Fayette County & access to the property is restricted.
