For a second, I thought it was wild that Rae was putting this Alveus guy on blast for giving her ringworm. Then I realized it was the 🐸

The emotions I felt. First relief that a ring worm was just a rash and not an actual worm under your skin, then horror when I found out it was a highly contagious fungal infection. I blame the Last of Us and Cordyceps videos for this.

Had it a couple times. Grappling on a dirty wrestling mat. Mainly when the whole team is soaking in sweat. If they don't mop and wipe it down daily you'll most likely get it. From most fight teams in mma and I believe wrestling too it's surprisingly quite common 😅

I had ringworm on the side of my face once....

yeah Ringworm is just Athlete's Foot, so it's very possible from getting it from stepping on the same floor as someone, especially in cultures where you remove your shoes. This is why people who use athletics mats like wrestlers and gymnasts bleach them after every use.

I Love Rae's content, but this story is a bad rep for Alveus who relies solely on donations. Especially, seeing she doesn’t have ringworm and it was Pityriasis Rosea and may not have been from Alveus.

So... i don't think its responsible to keep this shorts uploaded and not making any disclaimer after (from what i read people saying, since i couldn't find the information here or on Instagram) Rae wasn't in fact with ringworm and i really doubt it was from Alveus (and if it was, it should be properly communicated). Imagine how many people only had access to this bit of information? Short form bears the responsibility of lacking context most of the times, so this being the only place i could find about Rae talking about it seems kinda dangerous...
