Today we check out and review The Rollercade Skate Rink in Sant Antonio Texas! This rink was really cool for the very short and limited time I got to skate. I think if they had more opportunities for an adult night skate this would be an amazing rink!

No no no wait banning BACKWARD skating? That's insane. That's severely limiting the development of those kids, that's like saying, "you're not allowed to seriously practice until you're an adult." To the kids.

I went to the Rollercade around Thanksgiving when I was vacationing and visiting my wife's family and never had a problem during a day skate. I was skating backwards and sliding and no one said anything. The floor needed to be resurfaced really badly, but it was a great experience. If you get a chance to go back, definitely go to a night adult skate. It's insane how many talented skaters hit that floor at one time.

Just went over the weekend. So many kiddos getting into skating. It was good to see. Lot of people on the floor from falls and it was crowded. I guess they get a ton of kids and just want to protect them. I think of this place as a hatchery for newcomers who would like a slower paced place to learn. Thanks to all for handling this well.. There are a few other rinks in San Antonio, maybe they’re more geared to us big kids lol! But the rollercade is nice overall.

This sucks if you dont know about the rule, but I think it is nice that they have an environment for family skaters or new skaters away from advanced skaters

I'm in the dfw area and I'm always terrified you'll come review my local rink. They do have speed skates to rent (didn't know that was rare) but I feel kind of embarrassed about the size and quality of my rink. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad rink, it's well cared for and well loved...but seeing the other rinks you've visited makes it seem kinda sad. So I'm glad you're in TX, but dreading that you might come to the metroplex. Lol
