My Dad brought me to you, Bret. I remember he would show me your youtube videos and he's eyes glistened when he relays your experiences to our dining table (meal time was especially precious to us as a family since para magtabi). He passed away back in 2021 and as I was reeling from grief I suddenly remembered how happy he was watching you so you and Butter have brought so much comfort to me all these years. When you go social media silent, I think about how you're doing but understood well that you needed some break or whatever. I lived and grew up in Macasandig, CDO too. Silingan ra ta didto. Glad to know your Mom is okay, that must've been scary! Amping mo kanunay!

Life can be full of challenges. Just stand strong,hang in there! My Filippino husband and I have travelled around Europe and worked there. We are now in Phil's and yes,.....it has been challenging for me as well as for him! But we will never give up on what is our there for us. Both my husband and I are adventurous people,and we have learnt much from living abroad around Europe. We say this," Life is too short,.......so make the most of all experiences and opportunities presented to you,whether good or bad! 👍

Just happy to watch Butter happy and so innocent on what was happening around her. Things happens for a reason. Most places in Mexico are not safe for tourists right now, just wait till the situations there calm down.

Bret, not getting port entry to the US, may have been a blessing. The US has many issues right now, not mention passing into Mexico with all of your equipment, Camera, Drone and editing stuff, you may well have been a target in Mexico traveling down South deep into the country. The drug Lords pretty much run the country and you never know when you could be kidnapped or worse. Sometimes the more expensive route may be the safest way to get to your destination. Take care bro and stay safe.

Unbelievable! I once drove to Vancouver from my home in Portland, OR. And I got interrogated for three hours at the border coming back to Portland, but finally got through. They’re strict! As you said, there’s a reason for that. You may not know what exactly for now, but it’s something to be grateful about.

My Filipina wife and I have been following you for a long time. I was living in Cebu for 2 years. My wife rescued a dog in Cebu but we could not get him back to the US. You're so lucky to have butter with you. I'm sorry my lousy country would not let you in. It seems that our southern border is non existent. Sad state of affairs here. I'm over it too. So looking forward to the day we can fly home. My home, my heart and my in laws are all in Cebu. As well as most of my worldly possessions. Have you looked into mailing your equipment to yourself in the US/Mexico? In my prior corporate and also hospitality industry life, we used to mail bulky/heavy items to our hotel accommodations via Fedex or UPS, etc. If you are maling it ahead of time, just address it to yourself and c/o (care of) the hotel name. Be sure to include your arrival date of your reservation as well. When checking in, just advise them you should have packages that were delivered to you there. Call ahead and check on your specific hotel policies/procedures ahead of time. Even if your plan is to sleep in your van, you coud book a hotel(s) 1-2 nights to accept delivery and also get some R&R. Not sure if maiing internationally, delays/complicates things so you should get clarification before proceeding.
