That first Goodwill is over-priced. But then again, I have noticed that since newcomers are entering the thrifting world, some Goodwilla and a bunch of other thrift shops have lost their minss with prices. Folks, don't overpay!

My grandmother had a telephone bench from the 1940s and she added a needlepoint covering with black background with beautiful roses. A piece of tapestry cloth would also work for a seat cover. You could put a basket in the phone book cubbyhole and add a charging station...all phones in basket, recharging as downtime during dinner and family time.

I look forward to your videos and seeing all of your finds. The phone table in the corner by the staircase gave me warm, homey, feels. Everything looked lovely, but I especially like the dark wooden picture frame that will look perfect with a photo of one of your "ancestors" displayed in it as well as all of the crusty books that you so fortunately discovered.. Books are my down fall when shopping. Love it all!

Daneille, you have such an eye for design! I love how you see beauty in time-worn, weathered, and unwanted pieces. 😊 I also had this thought. I can envision that telephone stand painted in a high gloss black with the curved molding strips at top and bottom painted gold, a gold medallion made from air dry clay placed on the front, and a tapestry piece as upholstery on the seat cushion. I think it would look very regal and Victorian. 🤷‍♀️

I have the square casserole holder, i have my old bibles standing and lined up in it.. seen several people using books and now I'm seeing others use bibles also. It looks awesome! The blue and white lamps were stunning, I'm a lamp hoarder, they'd be in my decor room for sure😄 and the art you showed us as well! Love that frame you bought❤ The phone desk is so precious, great price! You styled it so cute, love the lamp! All the spaces are beautiful, you always do a great job.. and thanks for sharing😊

The phone bench is what was called a gossip bench! The ladies would sit at it with their phone and talk. My mom had one from the 50s! I grew up with it.

Not trying to disagree; but, I too, thought at first it was a gossip bench. Then I think I recall a true gossip bench having 2 seats that are side by side but in opposite directions so the people end up facing each other. Not sure, but wondering what you think of that.

The telephone seat cover is a shade of blue green and would go fine with Christmas or fall colors, imho. I have a wing chair in that same fabric that i almost recovered several years back, now I'm glad i didnt 😊

The telephone bench brings back memories! My grandmother had one with a built in lamp. How I wish I had that now after seeing yours. No, I've never been BUT my former in-laws used to go there annually (they lived in NJ) because a woman from there Methodist church was originally from there and a big promoter of tourism to her native country!

I adore that phone table that you bought and what a steal you got it for only ten dollars, wow! You put it in the right place too. That's where they always had them when I was growing up. I like everything you found and that phone table is such an interesting piece for that corner! 1:56 какая оригинальная, милая, остроумная задумка автора этой статуэтки. 👍 Туда можно насыпать орехов фундук или одно большое яблоко, а можно поставить миниатюрную фигурку любого животного, кролика, котëнка, ежа... Это всегда будет с шуткой и по детски мило. Можно всегда менять содержимое в зависимости от праздника, времени года, эта фигурка никогда не будет выглядеть однообразной! Ах, как жаль что я не могу приобрести это! 🤗

The phone benches were also called “gossip benches.” I love the things you put on top especially the Dundee jar. Your little corner looks so cute. I like everything you styled.
