I think you are onto a winner with your channel. You have a cheerful positive manner and when you get on your travels this channel should really take off. Good luck Paddy
This was remarkably refreshing to watch. Of my two favorite videos thus far, this is number 2 because it has a level of honesty and access that I have never before seen. Moreover, you are not presenting an excel sheet ... you are doing what you do everyday and sharing the expenses with your viewers as they roll in. As well, you are discussing your diversified ventures which at the time of publishing have great aspirations. This is a nice case study on a travel RU-vidr in Thailand. Excellent work!
Congrats on making it beyond a year 👏 I’ve only just found your channel but I’m really enjoying it. You’ve lived a fantastic life, but that takes bravery, so good on you and keep up the fantastic work 👍🏼
Thanks for your hounesty again Paddy, i guess after 6 months your youtube income is a lot better since you have grown, your ebook has been launched, skillshare, amazon has a little more income and Patreon is doing a good job at 104 subs. So i hope teesprings is doing better, and you know what, when you made this video you had 4k subs on YT and now 33,5K so thats a lot better buddy. I hope near the end of this year you will hit 75K subs, but yeah...... we shall see. Keep up the spirit buddy 👊
Just found you today from the travel channel you have with your other friends, which I previously found while watching Kara and Nate. Love your content, fun and interesting!
I’m so glad RU-vid recommended your channel. I love seeing Thailand while hearing about your journey. So please keep being a bit nosy, eating delicious food and being your naturally cheeky self. Looking forward to more.
Great video once again Paddy! We love the way you present in your videos. You're so good at speaking on camera. Goals! 😁 Can't wait to see the Honda mods 🤙🏼
I’m Thai and enjoy watching your channel very much since all of the places you visited 60% of the province I never been to. Your channel will be successful soon for sure.
I’m impressed how you ran this episode especially how you got to the point at the very beginning rather than dragging it out like most would - respect!
Jesus you made hat much in your first month! Fair play Paddy keep it up lad.. Will be heading over to Bangkok this year to start my channel also.. maybe one day colab :)
The adding in food expenses, I think you should have a standard daily amount say a fiver/tenner for each day then anything over that threshold that you choose goes into expenses. Because no matter where you are or what you’re doing you need to eat and drink regardless whether you make a video that day or not. Loving these already, I’ve so missed the Budgeteers this last year, so this is extraaaaa. Oh and after a good 3 years constant wearing I need a new budgeteer T-Shirt and so will get one of yours for this venture as well. At my vaccine appointment a man was asking me who they were? A band? A place? So I explained and sold you all there and then. I had 15 minutes after all to wait till I could leave. 😈
I see other channels that are nowhere near as good as yours hopefully next year at this time you will do another video like this to show your progress. Things like this take persistence and dedication. I worked in corporate world for years than did EBay for a year did ok some months but then went back to corporate world at a different company. So now looking to venture out of my own again thinking of doing both RU-vid and EBay good luck.
Love taking a peek behind the curtain. Please do another when you can. I’m sure you get a ton of suggestions, not sure if you’re interested in another set of ideas.
the way to make money must be 1) rent a small office in BKK & start a tour group which you arrange a bus and plan every thing, the trip starts from Bangkok to enter laos at Ubonratchathanee to bolaven plateau + ta-ged waterfall + kameud waterfall + tiger waterfall...// but you need to make that trip first, it requires zip line treking climbing experiences. 2) arrange a tour trip to vietnam via mukdaharn province to hoi an, hue , danang 3) arrange a tour trip to northern laos if you have a lot of money ... just contact laos government and sign contract to rent 3000 acres of land that you make small hotel and a tour for waterfall zip line camping in the virgin jungle. watch the clip of nam- kat- yo- rapa do a similar technique as namkat yorapa does
It'd be really great to see these insights even after you make it... Which will definitely happen because the plan you have is great and content is entertaining :)
Hey Paddy! I found this video so helpful! I would love to do your course! I just posted my first video in 6 years so Im a little rusty! So glad to have found your channel and cant wait to see your trip through Thailand! x
SUCH A COOL VIDEO, how awesome to see how you blew up on RU-vid since making this video!! "Bow down b*tches, Im richer than you" made me spit out my tea HOWLING so good haahha LOVE IT. Also super helpful video to learn how u made $$ in ur first month, as I am about to embark on a wellness travel world tour documenting it
Awesome info. Can’t wait to get back to Thailand again. Looking at coming back either to Thailand or Bali in August for 6 months. But will need an online income. I’m not techy in any way, how do u go about that?
Every vlogger seems to list their gear with Amazon affiliate links, and I've always wondered whether that's such a good idea. If you talk about your channel in a hostel, everyone who watches your videos knows what your backpack is worth..
I used to run at CMU twice a week. It is so strange to see people so close to each other. We are in a hard stay at home order in Toronto, and we have been since late December.
Another great video. Think us wanderlust people in lockdown love your humour, transparency and none of that typical RU-vid influencer hyped up nonsense. All the best on your journey... just no rocking up in a Thai village in a Lamborghini when you get 'huge' :P And yes, as you can see, I'm making my way through your vids ;) One thing I am curious about wrt revenue streams is this 'JOIN' button on YT. Is it linked to Patreon, or is it RU-vid's answer to having Patreons. If so, I think that's super clever. Lastly, I'm a brand designer working remotely with international clients but I love having and helping with passion projects (Have made a t-shirt for my favourite muay thai fighters) and would be happy to help with any t-shirt designs that you may want. Seriously, just send me a brief, your idea and I'll put some options for you. If you like, you can have. If not... no worries ;)
Wow thanks Clint. Love that comment. the people click JOIN become channel members. It's seperate to patron but yeah a very similar model inside RU-vid itself. I have 40 members so far which is great! I will reach out if I need any t-shirts 💙
Wish you do well with your channel. Like your work… love you share the behind the sense on your progress, etc. I recommend you add the food into your video. People want to know how much your lunch cost in Thailand.

Every video needs to have Paddy eating, that's the best part every time! 😂
So funny we lived around the corner for that restaurant many years ago. We dog sat for a month, and had dinner there most nights. Our RU-vid channel For Riel has 700 subscribers and we have about 7,000 hours watch time so almost monetised. We are slightly different to most RU-vid channels as we will be giving every cent back to people in need. We are semi retired so we do it for fun but want to made money to give back. Anyway good luck on your new channel.
An amazing achievement monetized in 15 days! ... You've gone into merch since then with Teespring, I was wondering how well that does with successful RU-vidrs???
I know you are English 😁but anyway I like how you speak and pronounce, because not every English person do that easy to understand. I'm not English. And I can learn from you not only about Thailand but also about language. Thanks!
Quality content again, absolutely love it. As somebody who hopes to attempt a travel Channel, its providing great insight for me! You mentioned in a previous video of an app you used to create channel art? By any chance could you let me know what app it was?
This is Mick did the 72 provinces on his motorcycle. It was really entertaining but he mostly did the videos on facebook. Will be interesting to see videos on youtube
I’m excited to see you rocket off into success! I loved your other channel Budgeteers and your adventures in India and Sri Lanka. Can’t believe they don’t have more views! So much more interesting than typical travel videos 👍 🙏 ❤️
Don't Skip ads...PUT on AUTOPLAY... I click ads..(.I might learn something new)...I love comm'Ls... I had over 2 feet of snow past w/end...again today it was snowing... getting tired removing snow on my roof... getting a bit colder again.. it was warmer yesterday (but I STILL have over 2 feet of snow... but it felt warm....maybe it's the snow ...?...)
Hi Paddy, I'm planning a 6 week trip to Thailand in 2022 (assuming covid allows) and would be interested in a travel consultation from an expert like you!
I'd love to hear about the trip planning process for you and how you're planning for the upcoming adventure! What resources you use, how you decide on accommodations, things you want to see, how to do it as less of a "tourist", etc! Thanks for being so transparent, and putting a smile on my face! 💚
So your plan is to do what everyone else is doing and you aren’t even going to be better than everyone else at doing it. Sounds awesome. Best of luck with that.
Thanks for the transparency Paddy 😊 I get frustrated with these you tubers that make out they just picked up their camera one day, shot a video and BAM they get a million subscribers 🙄 Looking forward to more videos
Amazing to get insight into the income streams youtubers can use. I have a question, how come you can only have 1 channel monitised but there are plenty of other people with many many channels that are monitised?
so anyone can have multiple channels, but you can't have multiple Adsense accounts linked to different channels. So because my other channel is actually a joint venture, I need to transfer the Adsense accounts first....
When you get to Bangkok you have to check out the Overstay. It's an old guest house, rumored to be a former brothel. An institution of Bangkok night life, and I believe now it's turning into a bit of a free squat community on account of "the situation". BTW I read and speak Thai, have lived there in the past. feel free to connect with me on socials and if you're ever in trouble you're welcome to hit me up for translation / communication help.
Hi Paddy !! Thanks for the video~ We would like to book a consultation to ask you some questions about Thailand !! If you can share the link please where I should book. thanks!
Okay so now I know how i'll be purchasing on amazon, and I have RU-vid premium So that helps you and me. As i dont have to watch adds and you get a cut out of it.
you kinda reminds me of ian wright.. hehehe keep doing what you are doing.. enjoy the journey and soon enough you'll have a smile on your face looking back on all of these experiences :-)
I've been a member of the budgeteers since it opened 11 months ago. Are you guys still using that membership to support another potential season or not?
