Ed, buying a Bugatti is one thing. Being able to do it while also getting to keep most of your other cars is amazing.

People can dump on the spec all they want, it’s what we’ve all come to expect from Ed, a usable example of a beast of a car with a great story. Sure, you can not like it, would I want an entirely red car in and out, no, but you gotta respect the hustle. It’s got personality, I feel like we’ve come to understand that means as much to Ed as anything.

Fun fact: Of the four Veyron variants (Standard, Supersport, Grand Sport, Grand Sport Vitesse), the Grand Sport is actually the rarest, with only 58 units being built. It was fairly quickly replaced by the Vitesse (92 units). Overall 300 Veyron coupés and 150 open tops were produced, including all special editions and one-offs.

Just for a moment, can we take a second at marvel at video technology today? Ed's got the camera set up without any additional lighting and he's rolling through multiple contrasting light conditions yet this whole clip looks like it could be a scene from a movie.

Can we get a cost of ownership? Like the monthly insurance and stuff?

I went for a drive here in north Jersey and made friends with a man named Bill who seems to share your exact same experience. Bill bought his ford GT in 2006 brand new. He’s daily driven it since then and also takes it to the track regularly. He let everybody sit in it and didn’t have any significant worries about paint chips, a respray or whatever else. It had well over 100k miles, but the condition of the car looked like it had 30k. What I think you’re getting at is like Bill, you don’t want to neglect a car, but you agree that they deserve to be driven and it shouldn’t be the end of the world if there’s some wear and tear that comes from that

I don't understand why Bugatti hasn't released a convertible since then. It doesn't need to go 300 MPH, just electronically limit the top speed when the roof is open and make it happen.

Dude! You drove past me a few weeks ago! I'm a land surveyor and was working on a property in Milton, and I gave you the 🤘. I didn't realize it was you(you didn't have the top off then) until you raised your hand from the steering wheel to wave, and that's when it hit me. "Holy Shit! That's Ed Bolian!" I was hoping to see you drive back by so that maybe I could flag you down to shake your hand or get an autograph or something, but alas, it didn't happen. Also, about 2 years ago, on the same job site, I saw you, Tavarish, and Hoovie drive by while you must have been filming the CarTrek series in your TVR. I hope if I'm on that job site in the future, I'll be able to get you to stop just to say what's up and maybe check out whatever badass ride you're in that day. Props on getting one of the most awesome cars ever made! If I notice that Bugatti driving by next time, I'll be the crazy guy waving his hands furiously to get you to stop. Haha.

A bunch of people don't like the spec of this Bugatti, and think it is a stupid purchase. They aren't in the position to buy one, and probably never will. Jealousy at its finest. It's your car, so enjoy it! I quite love the spec and I think it is one of the best specced ones because of the story it has. After seeing you in your Verde Draco Muriclago in Indianapolis last year in my GR86 to now this - You've made it for sure! Been watching since 2018.

Ed. I am 23 years old, and do not, and have not, by any definition, owned the caliber of cars you have. But, I do enjoy the drive more than the car, much like yourself. As a result of that, I've taken a lot of what I've seen you do and say over the years to heart. And let me tell you, it is so much more fun to drive my 03 Mach 1 with 156k miles regardless of conditions (short of snow), than it ever was to be scared to run into rain in any of my sub 70k mile Trans Ams and Camaros I've owned over the years.

Ed, never been a big fan of the Veyron. But, I have to say you have the best spec I've ever seen! The red really brings the lines to life. I'd never spec color matched wheels but even those speak to me on that car! It's far more interesting when there is a story to tell about why something is the way it is. I love the spec, i love the joy in Ed's eyes, i'm happy he finally got his Bugatti. Seeing the taillights light up in the first shots gave me PTSD from seeing all those Golf Plus driving around with LED taillights that have party failed.

As a VW owner, including many cars that were built in the same time frame and served as a parts bin for this car, It brings me the greatest joy knowing that you too suffer from the blend door foam failing like many of my MK4 Jettas and Golfs hahaha
