As you have skipped over the b57a for good reason and i feel as though I should give a bit of a lore dump of its misfortune. Back in the day when sl was still a giant issue even for paying players, the b29 was often talked about as being a ludicrous repair cost. This was warranted as the repair cost was around 40k sl. However, as most people are not simulator players the b57a flew under the radar of this issue. At the time the b57 sat at a br bracket where it was very easily untouchable for an entire match. And so for BaLaNcE, gaijin decided on an absolutely stunning 98k sl repair cost per death.

its all fun and games untill 9 out of 10 games you get sniped by a missile and in the last one by guns of a jet that can go twice your speed... peak fun

One thing that will surprise you is that the B-57 and Canberras are excellent turners. Not many planes can beat them in that department. Some people like to troll with the cannon-equipped versions.

If you’re gonna keep using the B-57B I suggest diving at the start towards a bomb base and keeping a speed of around ~0.8 Mach in order to get more bomb bases. and you should also bind a bomb salvo button so your bombs hit the base more accurately and not one at a time. after that you could try and dogfight or just kill ground units with the guns. Also nice face at the start.

This plane was a lot easier to use before AAM. nowadays especially fighting a Javelin or Scimitar you may not even make it to the bomb points

if you're going to bomb at high altitudes then always drop the bombs a bit before the base.

I've never played the b57, but I gotta try it now. I hope I have the sl to put it in 🙏

US bomber tree sucks. The b34 is a 2.7 and keeps up with 5.0 bombers its so unbalanced
