Just remember that driving isn't a race and to just be patient and courteous to other drivers. They may not always show it back to you, But that's life.
Congrats Elle. I got my license a month ago. I reside in New Jersey. I am going to buy my first used vehicle in mid-late January 2023. I enjoy driving. I liked how you said you were going to buy your own first vehicle on your own. I am giving you props on that. Yeah!
@@azvlogs6637 That was an unecessary comment. You do not know what that person's life is like. Not everyone gets the priviledge to get a license at a young age. Some people may not have the money to pay for driving lessons or simply not have time for it.
16 and driving! Wow, thats crazy. Dont think we can drive that young in the UK. Our roads are way smaller and our cars are manual. Its harder to get a licence. Ive got my test soon and I'm 32. Hope you drive safely 🙂
@@snowi3919 there is automatic too but I feel like manual is more popular here. It’s probably because if you have a manual license then you can drive both auto and manual :)
@@snowi39192 years late but yes, about 80-85% of cars on uk roads are manual. Slowly more people are turning to automatic now though because of the introduction of electric cars
I got my drivers license today, a month before turning 18 years old. And to say I am nervous to drive by myself is an understatement. It’s just scary but also exciting.
I got my license yesterday and I drove by myself for the first time today and it was so much easier because I was more calm. I would recommend you drive once a day by yourself even if it’s a short trip to build confidence. Good luck 👍
@@Pg-ch5nb thanks, I drove today for about 20 minutes and I honestly wasn’t nervous, just nervous to drive to school or during 5 pm traffic when everyone is going home. But yep I keep reminding myself little by little! Good luck also! 😊
@@Pg-ch5nb how long did it take you to finally get the confidence to drive by yourself? Like did you drive around with your parents in the passenger side for a while? I got my license last month and I still haven’t driven by myself
Cool I am age 41 but hope to get my license. I have a permit I have been driving with since September 2020. I enjoy driving lessons. I hope to get a used Jeep as my first car. I drive well too. I want to get a used Jeep Commander by June.
You should really get one of those Bluetooth things that you put in your car charger/cigarette lighter thing, I have a 2006 Hyundai Tuscan and I don’t have an aux, and if your car plug doesn’t work and you have a cassette player you can get a aux cassette player that hooks up to your phone like a normal aux both of them are life savers
You need to get one of those things that go into a lighter to play music Bluetooth !! I use to I think you have a Lexus RX looks like you do I’m not sure but I have a Lexus RX and it’s a 2006 and only has radio so I got the thing I told you about and now I can okay any song I want I LOVE IT !!
im 32 and learning to drive now. parents didnt want me to drive at 16 i agree its too young to be on the road 20 is a better age. many teenagers think they're invincible behind the wheel at a young age. im far more confident now as an adult to start driving
Today was my second day driving and I would say I’m becoming more comfortable. Friday I take my road skills test, to see if I can get my drivers license .
What??? In my state you have to have 60 hours behind the wheel plus 6 hours with an instructor before you can take the road skills test to get your license. How are you gonna get your license with 2 days of practice?
@@Pg-ch5nb we have different courses with how many hours and days we drive. If I remember correctly I drove for only three days. And my written test took only one day.
@@jujunaiddOkay so make sure you use your signals on every turn, lane change, & all parking. Stop at the stop sign for at least 3 seconds, before changing lanes look over your shoulder to check your blind spot. When parking up hill turn your wheel all the way to the left, know your hand signals, and practice parallel parking & you should do great! Relax and don’t be too stressed! (I hit the curb twice & still managed to pass lol)
look in the mirrors when reversing, don't look back at your face, just look at the mirrors or the reversing camera, but don't look back just look in the mirrors don't forget to do it follow my advice friend don't forget to do it
I got my license today, I drove alone to school but I am super scared because my car is old and if i got into a crash it would without a doubt be totalled, and i cant afford another car.
Take your time, do not rush into it. I got my license in January and and I still cannot drive alone. One more month of practice and I should be good. It's safer to take your time and become completely comfortable behind the wheels before driving alone.
Good luck on your test next month but what I will say is that when you're a new driver, don't play your music too loud. It can be distracting which you can't afford to have when driving, especially when you have just got your license
I was so confused when you said you had to wait 9months to get your license because In jersey once you complete your 6hours of driving school and feel comfortable enough to do the test you can do it, pass and get your license. If you don’t do the driving school then you have to wait 6months. But this was in 2016-2017 so idk if it changed. Ps. I just realize you said it’s during covid so I guess it’ll probably take longer
omg 6 hours of driving school? wow we have practical driving for mandatory 30 hrs and then before the actual test we have to pass a practical test from a driving school
In Mauritius we there are no mandatory number of hours, as long as you are comfortable enough to take the test. The only thing is that it takes months to receive a test appointment when booking one. Atleast 6 months for a first time test.
Were you in the US Amry? I think the Army t-shirt is cool that you are rockin'. In college, I had been interested in being in the New Jersey National Guard.
Got your license 3 days and already you are dividing your attention to driving and making a video. And worse you even find the time to look into the camera. Man this is an accident waiting to happen. By watching your eyes, you have absolutely no awareness of your surroundings. You have no idea what is happening behind you and are not really watching your sides. Driving is taking in account something can go wrong around you at all times and anticipate before it can happen. So throw away the camera and start learning how to drive and make sure we can enjoy more of you in the future because you won't be dead. edit after seeing the whole video: Do you know your car has mirrors? They are there for a reason. Jesus. I hope you have parents seeing this video and have a serious talk with you. How on earth did you pass the test? In my country you would not be even half way the lessons you need. I am praying you won't get into an accident.
im pretty sure shes fine, vaild point about dividing attention. But more than half of today's drivers use cell phones during their commute. Which is way worse than glancing into a camera every now and then. Also talking while driving is called, commentary driving. Not sure if you've heard of it but it actually has some benefits.
@@samyuri2202 And because so many accidents happen due to the usage of cellphones even involving experienced drivers, it is forbidden in my country to even hold a phone while sitting behind the steering wheel. AND this is a girl with her license of only three days. Want to make a bet that she will be in an accident soon? She takes driving not serious enough and I blame her parents and driving instructers.
@@computerjantje have you been in the car with her while she’s driving before? have you gone to her driving classes? were you in the car when she took her test? how are you gonna judge someone’s driving skills from a video that’s clearly edited. obviously she wasn’t talking into the camera the entire time she was driving, you can literally see the cuts in the footage.
@@luvbvnny I can literly see what her eyes are doing. She has no clue of her surroundings and she is distracted by her own talking and camera. It is as simple as that.
YOU CAN NOT DRIVE ALONE UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR LICENSE and a PERMIT under 21 YOU HAVE TO DRIVE WITH SOMEONE WITH A LICENSE AND IS 21+. THIS IS ILLEGAL DRIVING.
