yeah it really was a amazing idea. Trade the truck for some prime market advertisement, and he even got a $25k bar of silver that will only go up in value on top. Before this I had no idea Prime Armor existed. Now I know they are a legit American made, family owned company proud of their products.

I don't know if the armor is totally effective or not, but as a person who has wore big assed IOTV body armor for long periods of time, reducing plate weight by half but being just as effective is a big deal. I dig it. Premier Body Armor is smart to release on this platform like this, he isn't getting a bad deal...at all. lol

For the future, you could also tie off the back of the 5-ton to another tree to prevent the scooting. Done it many times to pull out superduty trucks using only my 3800 pound jeep Cherokee. As long as your bumper mounts can handle it, only thing moving is what you want to move.

And remember to keep the anchor point in line with the winch. Otherwise you have a chance of warping your frame/unibody. We used my friend’s Cherokee to pull out a Superdoody on 40’s in mud up to the frame. He anchored the Jeep at the rear passenger side bumper and his 10k winch distorted his Cherokee so bad that the passenger side door and rear hatch wouldn’t close. We had to anchor it on the drivers rear corner and winch to a tree to straighten it back out enough to get the crap to close again!!

Next time strap/chain the back of the winch vehicle to a tree to stop from it moving. We have used multiple jeeps/trucks as anchors when a big enough tree isn't available. Thats why big wreckers have the big support legs that dig into the ground to keep from moving.

Well Frank, if you are checking these comments, I wanna say that after this video, Premier shot to the top of my list for armor. I've been debating between a few brands and yours was on my list, but after seeing the story you presented here with Matt, I'm really thinking those new Multi Curve Level 4 or III+ Enhanced may be the way to go for me. Snatch blocks are great, but consider carrying enough chain to anchor the rear of the winching vehicle to something that will not move (like a large tree or rock). Not much force required to overcome tire friction.

Matt if you wedge the front of your truck into a tree and use snatch block to the two trucks, you won’t drag the truck your pulling force is only equal to how much you can stay still. Put your truck front end on a tree and watch. Northern maine logging tactics!!!!

Matt, throw a weight or a decently heavy branch on that winch cable so if it snaps it doesn’t whip around, that shit will break anything within a radius equivalent to the length of cable you have pulled out. They make some handy little sandbags or you can just make your own

The best thing about that B7 Suburban you have is that it looks 100% stock from the outside, You can blend in and be basically invisible. Its new enough that it just looks like a soccer mom running errands. Between the B7 , Able the 5ton, and your modest collection of pew pews Id say you are ready for anything. Really the hardest part will be Ammo. I believe that the biggest hurdle in the apocalypse will be finding ammo.

Two tires less than full of air, or rounds of wood. Put one at each tire line, run line over each, be sure to keep line at a lower spot on the stuck truck. Pulling it up and out with less power than what's needed to just pull it back.

Sometimes when we are out playing and get stuck , and the pull vehicle just slides during wenching . We will chain the pull vehicle off to a tree . Then the winch can do it's job . Great video my friend . You got a great deal on the armored vehicle and body armor . 👍👍👍

You need some stuff called geo grid. We use it on the coast to build roads over marshes. You lay it down over the soft spot and put a nice thick layer of #3 stone on it. Looks kind of like that plastic orange fencing but black and thicker.

If you’re ever in a pinch you can hook to the vehicle you’re pulling out and hit it in reverse until the truck you’re snatching with it buried about half way down the wheel which multiplies your leverage keeping your snatching truck anchored while you winch (it won’t slide towards the truck you’re pulling out)

Highly recommend getting the CTIS fixed or airing down manually (pita without ctis) before going through anything soft with the lmtv. 15 PSI vs 55 PSI is a world of difference in traction. If it was aired down and in mode it would likely have made it through on the initial send.
