No shock at all we expected him to get turned down as his abilities and reputation already had him depreciating worse than a used car that just left the CarMax ...what was shocking to them was how real the college kept it when telling him that you are the "anomaly" that will never get into a college ever so just quit trying cause trying doesn't cut it in the real world
@@HoloScope For most people getting good grades is like 95% effort. Most can’t just take a class and pass on pure intelligence. I would imagine you could get above a 3.0 if you completed all your required assignments and took some time to study before tests.
I agree lmao I was kinda like him when I was younger but I still cared about my grades (but not as much as an average student) I finally got my shit together in my sophomore year of junior highschool and I'm doing better now :)) aiming to be a pediatrician someday
@@lizardsempire5770 i mean i guess it kinda looks like a little kids...but to me it looks more like a tiktok girl or furry or sum shit, and if you look at their videos, the editing stuff doesnt really look like a little kids, more like an emo girl or some lgbtq member based off of the "she/her" portion of one vid. (and im not saying lgbtq is bad, im saying that most little kids dont exactly understand that stuff let alone become a member of it. and either way im only 14 so you could technically refer to me as a "little kid")
@@trollrat2828 Actually I don't live with my mom. I'm living with my dad but both of my parents are good people (other than the fact that my mom cheated on my dad with another girl). I'm Filipino and apparently there are two types of people in the Philippines from different sides of the country. My dad comes from the side where people always sound like they're yelling and angery even when they're not. My mom is from the gentle and kind side. I don't remember all that well though, it may have been told differently because I was told that before my parents had a divorce. Anyways I wish you luck with your parents.
Does he know that people go to community colleges to pay a fraction of university prices for the exact same course and then they finish the core of their degree at any university once they pretty much had a second chance at raising their GPA…oh he does? He’s just being dramatic? Ahhh cool cool
@@maximilienrobespierre7595 It is lol. I’ve transferred from a 4-year college to a community college and now I’m about to transfer back to a 4-year college. The only downside is paying for all of your old/current transcripts and hoping that the courses you are currently taking/previously taken will transfer.
Yeah, but getting into a higher college gives more opportunities like on site campus interviews which can get u high paying jobs right out of college in a well established company. This can be super useful, but if all comes to worst community college is definitely not a bad decision.
@@kidcurry420 I get that, but honestly I don’t see how those “perks” justify paying legitimately between 40-60+K for a 4 year degree that is the same everywhere else🤷🏽♂️that’s just me. I’m paying for my school so cost is a major factor and at the end of the day it’s the same piece of paper.
@@carsonknighten6804 You people do realise that's a common English expression that means the same as "I couldn't care less", right? Confidence is a good trait - but only in moderation.

However, we regret to inform you that you will *not* be joining us at LMFAO University this fall. Fortunately for us you now have $80,000 of Student Debt for wasting our time. Better luck next time!"
Bro u had AP classes, stop... You cared and ever college didn't reject you unless you only applied at top ten schools, If you graduate you can get into college... lol
@@davidmackie5850 obviously he’s not meant to be there with his mentality. It’s good to see him care about his education now but this wouldn’t have been a problem if he payed attention and wasn’t a dick
@@TripleLayerLemonCake I worked so hard had many tutors my parents put me in kumon and I still barely graduated and people who just get it naturally don’t even care it sucks I’m in college now but it really affected everything. Hate seeing people take advantage of it
To be fair I got a 33 on my ACT (top 2% of the nation) and have been getting c’s and b’s for the last few years. I took AP physics and AP calc and was easily one of the smartest in the room (this was according to the teachers). I never did any homework yet I got A’s and high B’s on every test. Only reason I didn’t fail was because AP calc had weighted grading so tests were 80% of our grade and AP phys the teacher said if we ace our semester test we would get an auto A.
@@desolatedreams21 yeah, I know lmao. To be fair its hard when people constantly praise you as if you’re Albert Einstein. If I had tried I would’ve been valedictorian of my class. Kinda okay that I didn’t though because then I would’ve had to give a speech and public speaking is not my forte. Heck I can’t write to save my life. I’m writing my final paper for English IV and its a train wreck. It’s barely even coherent.
Yeah they would. I had to explicitly tell my counselor I didn't want AP classes because they were too difficult for me and they still wanted to keep me in them.
Yeah like he knows that college isn't for everyone right? There are other career paths to take. There's no shame in finishing your education in high school
sometimes people can be pressured by parents to go like there's no way I'd ever go to college and my whole life i knew i wasn't ever planning on going- that is until my parents told me i have to....
This is not true. I skipped many many many days in HS. Graduated with a 3.6 and did REALLY BAD ON THE SAT. Then I went to a bad college, did well, transferred to a good college. Graduated Summa Cum Laude at Fordham University last month!
Also depends where you applying. Don't be trying to get into some great school with a trash transcript but there are def some schools that admit like everyone. Don't mean they're good though lol
“I got rejected from all the schools I applied to” This year the kids who have a 4.0 and involved on several clubs are getting rejected cuz schools are only accepting kids who could pay
What does this even mean? Everyone who goes to college has to pay. If you mean pay out of pocket (no loans or grants) only a very small portion of the population would be eligible. It would not benefit schools to make these restrictions, there would be so few students that they wouldn't make money. And at the end of the day, the school doesn't care where the money comes from (grant from the government, loan from a bank) so long as they get it. I don't know who is giving you this information but it sounds like they're full of shit
@@kittycorn9058 By whom and for what purpose? Are you implying that somebody is paying to keep schools from accepting people who need loans? It would cost billions to make up for the lost revenue and what would that even accomplish? Or are you saying that there are enough rich kids whose parents can bribe their way into schools to fill every slot for every college in America? The 1% are just that...only 1% of the population. Every rich kid in America could bribe their way into colleges and there's still millions of open slots. Not to mention nobody is paying bribes to get into a second rate state schools, that only happens in the Ivy Leagues. State schools would still be wide open for enrollment if what you're suggesting were true. Please explain your thought process here because I'm genuinely curious.
@@shelbyb9965 damn ok you don’t gotta write a fucking essay but sure. If someone has a 4.0 GPA I don’t think going to Ivy League schools is out of the question. Its probably one of their first thoughts when thinking of colleges depending on what they wanna be. You heard of the Lori Thing? Basically she bribed the school to take in her daughter and remove one kids slot and is now gonna die in jail. Anyways, I’m tryna say that kids who have higher GPA’s go to more prestigious schools with less slots and when there are parents who are richer and can pay like 500K or something to bribe them they’re gonna chose the money.
@@bobjob3632 im like, dude you u didnt give a crap in school and try to apply to an ivy school and its not gonna happen just go online and take online college; they are cheap an shitty haha
My parents gave up on the strict part, I was an ADHD problem child that couldn't be controlled. Dropped out of high-school but now I'm in college 2 months away from my associates in computer programming. Some people like me have to learn the really hard way by making the juiciest mistakes 😜
As someone going into teaching, I hate how grades can chop your futures head off (figuratively speaking). Schools test your knowledge in very specific ways that don't work with everyone. Some students may be super smart/good at learning, but because we test a certain way, they may fail. Give everyone a chance at college, people. You could have someone with Fs cure cancer.
Also college isn’t the only path to success. If you want to be a wage slave sure go to college and get a job. Or find other ways to generate an income that you enjoy.
This guy gives me main character vibes. When he asked his teacher about his grades, instead of scolding him she laughed. . . That just goes to show how like-able this guy is
I feel like this is all spur of the moment decision making because he’s probably got this motivational mojo going on and this motivational content to add to his channel as a plus. But college is not always this exciting and positive. It’s a lot of struggle. Getting into one is only the first, most menial hurdle. Staying in it without losing your mind and giving up is the real challenge. Good luck dood
I'm going to let y'all in a little secret Most colleges don't care how smart you are they care about how much money you have, as long as you can read and have basic understanding of math (sometimes not even that) you can pretty much get into a lot of colleges.
Honestly, if all he did after a year was nothing, I wouldn’t even accept him to my college. He better have at least took some community college to prove his drive.
I thought it would be an inspirational journey about how he took certified courses online, studied and retook some admission test(s?) that year and came out with a great score.
Once you're done studying and you realise a degree ain't worth shit then you wont regret getting into certain colleges, you will be glad you saved the money
My sister is 17 and she goes to college, she loves it there! She is studying health and social and she made 3 friends on the first day :) don’t worry about it! Everything will be fine! Well, I do live in england so if you live somewhere I else I’m not too sure about how it will go, but good luck!
@@disteve2466 I’m from England, so it’s different from where you are from I didn’t even know a grade/year 12 existed, usually we go into year 11 at age 16 or 17 and then when we leave year 11, we go straight to college.
Bad grades don’t guarantee you wont get into college but some schools do a background check on you using things like social media and when you post videos of you messing around in school it isn’t hard to tell why they denied your application.
