Gershwin was a huge fan of Maurice Ravel. You can def hear it in his chord structures, and especially this part 1:18

Amazing! more people should be watching this. Have you considered playing Prelude No1 in B-Flat Major by Gershwin? It's very rythmic, and short :) You should be able to master it super quickly. Not that you need to post more often than you already do :) Thank you for sharing the gift of music with the rest of us.
