I straight up avoid ebay anymore. I was getting scammed on there constantly over the last few years. Just a few examples, I bought a watch that was a knockoff, I bought a fishing reel and I paid for it and the seller never shipped it, same thing happened with a hat, and then the icing on the cake was someone hacked my paypal and stole my info and I lost thousands (I got reimbursed after disputing the charges, but it was a huge hassle).

The disturbing thing is that those look like they have been in circulation for quite a while, so that means that for a very long time people were using them as actual currency, the whole time being completely fraudulent. Bizarre

They don't give a crap. They suspended my buyers account because I was sold a fake and told the seller that they should learn about ethics. They said it was only $100 so no problem. Now I can't get into my account so I guess I'm not getting my $100 back from those holes

I bought my mom a rare piece of dishware once. I got it and it had been broken, glued, and reglazed to hide the repair. I sent it back and the eBay seller had the nerve to say I pulled a switch on him. I got my money back though. I'm not a fan of ebay.

How To Spot eBay Fakes: 1) Price is too good (at or just over spot price). 2) Seller is listed as “joined” eBay within the last 8 weeks. 3) When you click on “seller’s other items”, no coins show up and/or there’s only maybe 1 other item. 4) Seller’s eBay name looks like computer-generated gibberish. 5) Coin is listed as shipping from CA, NY, or just “United States”. Any one of these might be ok, but two or more is a huge red flag.

if it didn’t spark that probably just means you need a new flint. i don’t know what lighter it is but you can look up how to change the flint. they only cost a dollar for a few of them too which is nice.

I would have to check but I think I got some of those years and mints in my collection. Some of them are graded also. If your interested I'd be willing to let them go fairly cheap. Mainly bought them for stacking purposes.

I have little collections of folding knives and silver. What I worry about buying silver, when I do..if I’m buying real silver or not. I take my time going through eBay sellers feedback carefully going through the comments. But even that is not really reassuring. I do have one Franklin and few walking libertys, those I’m not quite to sure of. i enjoy taking out looking at them once in awhile and hoping what I have is real. Some ppl just have to go and ruin things for people who enjoy collecting, ripping off ppl. Shame on them! Anyway I enjoyed watching your videos this evening!

ebay sucks. I bought a supposed antique blacksmith made fish and eel spear with a good patina. Well the patina was paint and there wasn't a scratch on it. Based on the dozen plus welds and overall machine made. Contacted seller and they said "you only spent $100 on it so no problem" i responded rather harshly because I hatte getting burned and they're still listing the same junk. ebay owes me $100 but I can't contact them to get my money. They suck

Worst of all customers buy now and at a much latter time find out the coins are fake. Have tried for over a year to speak with someone at eBay beside phone rep to discuss this situation but this is imposssible. The Chinese are so good at making fake stuff I am carefull what I buy on ebay

Yep I got my PayPal hacked on Ebay was a seller tried to charge 1,000 on my account had he been smarter about it and charged lower amounts he may have gotten away with it for awhile but greed got the best of him and I haven't used PayPal or Ebay since then around 2 years or so ago lesson learned 😠😡😠😤🖕🏻🤫😉🙂🤷‍♂️

the easiest way to test it is to bring it to a local coin shop and ask often times they will put it on a machine and give you a quick yes or no...BUT you may want to buy something while your there dont just use them for the machine lol
