Every box has a SR so not guaranteed a Alt art but full art trainers are SRs and that aroma lady was your hit of this box! Even with the weird numbers being missing that box was fine because the SR is the full art trainer!
I wanted to add something to this because you are correct what you said but with the serial number stuff! In each and every booster box from what I know anyways they do that because I think if I'm correct they need to have the same matching serial number for each booster pack in the same booster box if the serial numbers are different than that means that the booster box was tampered with and they mixed up different packs from different booster boxes in that one. I hope this makes sense! And hopefully I am not just telling lies.
@@miguelsosa9084 The box certainly was tampered with. For all we know is that they messed up putting these back together and never meant to hit it with the Korean. The people doing this are doing this EN MASSE and probably are working round the clock with thousands of boxes to filter out the hits. The box could have had a SR or Alt of any kind and replaced with Aroma(doubtful) but the box was tampered with and the person could have slid that card into the box. I don't know why they would do that but I know the full art female trainers prices have dropped off a cliff. I myself am obsessed with Aroma Lady, but I don't know if she is even medium tier price point as she is basically a side NPC in the handheld Pocket Monster games.
Howdy, Japanese collector here. Your guaranteed 1 SR or better in each box. The trainer SR is your box hit. Missing codes don't always mean its a scam box sometimes that just happens. Identifying scam boxes is pretty difficult for new people so the only way to tell if its a legit box before opening one is.. Box weight (each set has a different weight), Wrapping Seal line thickness & placement (a rewrap seal line will be thicker compared to a legit box & the seal line placement on a legit box will 99% of the time be exactly the same on every box). Finally the wrap itself, scammers are yet to fully replicate the plastic wrap the Pokémon center uses. There's will be a thicker plastic & shiny, usually very tight on the box, it will rip like paper once removed. Legit wrap is thin. loose on a box 80% of the time, it will feel like a slightly thicker saran wrap & be stretchy. Main point is always buy from a good dealer & always use reference photos of a legit box before purchasing. Hope that helps
I did some quick napkin match and can estimate I’ve touched between 70-80,000 Japanese booster boxes in the past 3 years - never received a complaint from a customer about a resealed box … had one (new) supplier send me resealed boxes one time and I swear they even have a different smell - I fired him immediately… with the background out of the way…. I Can confirm with chat- guaranteed SR or UR (or equivalent) and that’s it. It can be a trainer card or a pokemon or a golden energy/item … you got a SR trainer here as far as the codes go on the packs, they should all match each other BUT sometimes packs don’t have a number at all. Just bad quality control. We’ve opened boxes from sealed cases and have looked at packs - some just get missed The only thing regarding the serial numbers that you can be SURE of is there should only be one serial number per box…if any packs in a box have a differing number from each other , tampering occurred If you ever get into Korean cards, they do not have any guaranteed rates- and the newer sets don’t even have plastic wrapping anymore. Not sure who had that bright idea
that aroma lady is your one SR per box. Not a bad hit, but once you see one full art or better, thats your one big hit per box with japanese, unless you get VERY lucky and get 2 full arts or better
Eevee Heros as well as every single set from Sword and Shield back through any and all sets, that 1 SIR or Special/Secret Rare card is guaranteed per box, and 3 RRR or Ultra Rare cards V/VMAX/etc. I bought and have sealed every box from the Best of XY up through Sw and Sh Space Juggler. I immediately dipped out of collecting Japanese prior to the pandemonium hitting these products. I've opened thousands of Japanese booster boxes and never once had a opened box or resealed box.... granted I bought and ripped from 2015 - 2021. You can EASILY weigh the heaviest 3 - 4 packs out of the set to pull the SR/SIR out. I wouldn't buy Japanese product for nothing and NEVER and I mean NEVER EVER EVER buy loose Japanese booster packs.... EVERRRRRR. The are all weighed if they are singles. You got the SR card which is the high rarity.

So you have 3 boxes, your first box don’t have a hit(scammed), second box korean( scammed), your third box, aroma lady was your hit, japanese boxes is guaranteed a sr or sr or scr for old box so, .aroma lady was your hit. Overall, you got scammed on the first and second boxes, and the third box( in my opinion i think its also been re-sealed but aroma lady is not a big hit so they just leave it there) is legit.
Hey, Sean. Another thing that kinda threw a wrench in the whole thing was grabbing giveaway packs from the same box that was being broken. I think if you're buying into a break, you wanna see all packs be opened in that same sitting. That way there's no imaginations running wild as to what those packs that weren't opened contained. It's only right for those who bought into the event to get to see everything that box contained.
@Poke Vault: you're wrong on the SN thing...i'm a japanese collector and it happened few times that the serial number were either missing or so barely visible that seemed to have been tampered with, but the boxes were fine. SN sometimes are not well printed.
I lived in Japan for 5 years and my wife was born and raised in Tokyo for 30 years, scamming is on the rise, the special boxes the ones that are smaller with ten packs ( shiny star v, vmax climax etc) are being filled with rectangular boxes of milk or juice that fit perfectly and being resealed. Def becoming more common, I’m actually going back to Tokyo in 4 months to visit the in laws if there is anything you want me to look out for.
I ordered a eevee gym box to keep sealed and literally had repeated nightmares of this happening. I opened it and pulled alt art vaporeon v. So no reseal. 😅
the likehood of eevee gym box being resealed is far lower than the standalone bb.. thats why eevee gym box cost so much because we know for certain that as long as the gym box is sealed, the 2 bbs inside are not tempered with...
You got the SR! That box is legit. That's so strange with the serial numbers being rubbed off. It's possible that the box you opened in this video had a double hit. Every box of japanese Eevee Heroes is guaranteed a SR, which in this case happens to be the full art Aroma Lady. Some boxes may have double hits, usually an alt art and a full art. And it comes with 3-4 Vs and 2 Vmaxs. This box seems legit despite some of the packs serial number being rubbed off for whatever reasons. Korean boxes on the other hand are not guaranteed a SR. Small percentage of boxes have no SR hits.
So to help you understand, with Japanese you can find the hit with texture by weighing very easy since there is no code cards. Which is why you don't ever see loose Japanese packs having a market like with English. You did get a SR so perhaps that box had 2. Believe it's garenteed to have at least 1. Full art trainers are SRs for Japanese so it won't be SAR only or alt arts like you were saying. Gotta buy from reputable sellers for sure when it comes to the volatile Japanese market
I just went through this with the mj holding holiday boxes... literally you can tell they opened them took the good stuff and sealed it back up. I bought 14 boxes from 2 different locations and it's all over the reddit and the better business bureau. Super sad man.
SR+ ARE NOT GUARANTEED IN EVERY JAPANESE SET! TOO MANY PEOPLE THINK THIS IS THE CASE!! In *most* of the japanese sets, you are guaranteed an SR+, but some (ie: Blue Sky Stream, another part of the evolving skies set besides Eevee Heroes) you are not. I am not sure about Eevee Heroes, but wanted to note the distinction in case people start immediately assuming they were scammed on any and all japanese sets if they dont pull one. Edit: Would also note, I have opened japanese sets that do not have a super clear serial on all of the packs. I would say that is less reliable...however if any packs have different serials, that has been messed with.
The boxes with Korean you got scammed.. That aroma lady is a box hit ( alts are not Guaranteed) That's why Japan put pull tab at the bottom of the boxes now cause of this
the seller was cooltrainerryan lol. btw another pro tip for authenticating a box is if the plastic seems more crunchy and not soft, it's resealed. noticed resealed boxes will use a different plastic. buy from reputable sellers but more importantly, buy from sellers that actually get sourced boxes from the distributor so you have peace of mind. if they are not distributors ask for receipts of where/who they purchased the box from, just one of many ways to not get caught with your pants down like mr vault.
I've never seen you so sad opening a box of pokemon cards it was hard to watch. Thank God you could settle things with the person you bought the boxes from! I have personally never opened a Japanese box and NOT got an SR or higher so I do think it's still guaranteed. With the serial numbers on the packs, each one from the box should match. I have seen them rubbed off or simply not printed before though and still got an SR or higher. There are some really dirty tactics in japan for searching packs & resealing boxes, even worse than in the USA/UK. Some of the scammers use weighing/lights to determine where the hits are and reseal boxes with the dud packs to sell on Mercari etc (possibly where this one came from.) Also, recently boxes have been observed to be almost 'mapped' so it can be easier to guess where the hit is. Some of the reseals also look super legit and it can be hard to tell even with the box in hand. If risking buying from Mercari/rakuten etc, check seller ratings and check the seal/wrap against a box from a trusted source. If the price is too good its gonna be sketchy. Finally, it is possible to make buying from these sites safer but it is still risky so do it with that in mind
im presuming the reason you got weird serials is people opened up boxes to maybe weigh the packs and then just bundled them back in whatever order and resealed the box.
Unfortunately this hobby has many lows just as it has many highs..but overall you absolutely did the right thing shutting the break down! Appreciate the transparency throughout this whole situation and raising awareness to those that might not be aware of scams like this!

The Japanese box was fine with the Aroma lady (SR) being the hit of the box. Kinda crazy you don't even know that 😂 Sucks for the Korean packs being thrown into the Japanese box tho
No lie I bought a Japanese box of paldean dates recently opened it up and each pack was nearly cut in the bottom. Each pack had all shiny full arts and holos removed lol
Was the comment about every serial number on the inside of the pack flap needing to match every pack in the box accurate? If so, did you check them all? I did see that most were faint or none visible, but it also seemed like if you held it at a certain angle you could still read what was once there. Id be curious to know.
Im sure you have seen it already, but you ARE guaranteed an SR, you are def not guaranteed an ALT ART. SR's can range from full arts to trainers to alt arts
It's not your fault man. There is no sure way of guaranteeing authenticity until a box is opened. People are definitely exploiting Eevee Heroes cause once it's shipped overseas it's a lot harder to get your money back. Just try and stick to reputable sellers the best you can. That's all anyone can do.

I bought a Korean box of eevee heros on tik tok and I ripped one of the cards and it had the correct ink. I got a rainbow umbreon vmax and an aroma girl.
I have opened a ton of korean eevee heroes! I have only ever pulled ONE! The Jolteon FA(Full Art).. got it graded; she’s a PSA10. There are so many repeats of these holos, just opening another pack of Korean Eevee Heroes would be a waste of my time; i spent too much money. I could send you a PHOTO!! Of all the Korean Eevee heroes booster boxes I opened. And i can also show you my PSA10 Jolteon V FA #079🎉 sorry for that experience 😮
